This themed event will be held to help promote Mandarin
On September 17th, the Chuansha New Town "Promoting Mandarin and Leading the Area" Home in Shanghai · Dream Building Chuansha themed promotional activity was held at the town's Party and Mass Service Center. Through a series of activities, Mandarin was promoted among ethnic minorities, building a bridge and new belt for communication among people of all ethnic groups, and promoting cultural integration.
A promotional video jointly shot by residents of various ethnic groups in Chuansha New Town opened the curtain on the day's event. In the early stage, representatives of ethnic minorities and students within the town, as well as students from the "Yungui Class" of Shanghai Haichuan Jianxin Education Group, went to places such as Chuansha Ancient Town and Lianmin Village to become "promoters" and actively promote Mandarin.
On the day of the event, interactive activities were also set up, including a special lecture on promoting Mandarin, a display of style, an exhibition of ethnic story themed works, ethnic pasting music, and ethnic language guessing. These activities showcased the importance of Mandarin and the necessity of promotion, and also provided a platform for ethnic minority residents in the town to showcase their respective ethnic cultures, promoting the integration and sharing of various ethnic cultures.
Po Liyou, a Lisu ethnic resident, comes from Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province. On that day's event, he brought a guitar performance and singing of "The Sea and the Sky" to everyone in Mandarin and Lisu, showcasing his own style and promoting Mandarin through practical actions. He told reporters that he came to Chuansha to study a year ago and received a lot of care and love from people during this period, making him feel like home in Chuansha. "I want to spread national culture through activities, and then repay and serve society with my own efforts."

Shen Zixuan, a Manchu child in sixth grade this year, was born and grew up in Chuansha. She told reporters that her father is Han and her mother is Manchu. "My mother will tell me a lot about the traditions and culture of the Manchu ethnic group, and I will also tell these to other children at school." She said, "Promoting Mandarin can make communication between our different ethnic groups more smooth, and our relationships can become deeper."
It is reported that there are currently 484 permanent ethnic minority residents in Chuansha, covering 31 ethnic minorities. These residents are contributing to the economic and social development of Chuansha. In August this year, the Chuansha New Town established the Ethnic Unity and Progress Association and launched the "Home in Shanghai, Dream Building Chuansha" brand, taking multiple measures to promote communication and integration among people of all ethnic groups.
Aladancang, the supervisor of the Chuansha New Town Ethnic Unity and Progress Association, stated that in the next step, the Chuansha Ethnic Unity and Progress Association will carry out more diverse ethnic unity activities at multiple levels, and compatriots of all ethnic groups will communicate and understand each other through these activities, forming a joint force. "I believe that under the leadership of the Party Committee and Government of Chuansha New Town, our compatriots of all ethnicities will unite closely like pomegranate seeds to jointly build the Chuansha Dream."
