After trial, the court found that from 2004 to 2020, Gong Jianhua took advantage of his positions as Deputy Secretary and Executive Deputy Mayor of the Communist Party of Nanchang City, Leader of the Nanchang City Planning and Land Operation Leading Group, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of the Communist Party of Yichun City, Secretary of the Communist Party of Fuzhou City, Standing Committee Member and Secretary of the Communist Party of Jiangxi Province, and Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress to provide assistance to individuals in matters such as land listing, engineering contracting, project development, and promotion. He illegally received a total of more than 325 million yuan directly or through his relatives. The Intermediate People's Court of Jinan City believes that Wang Bin's behavior constitutes the crime of bribery and the crime of concealing overseas deposits. Wang Bin's bribery amount is particularly huge, the criminal circumstances are particularly serious, and the social impact is particularly severe, causing significant losses to the interests of the country and the people. He should be sentenced to death if convicted; Wang Bin's crime of concealing overseas deposits is self surrender, and he can be given a lighter punishment, and he will be punished together with his bribery crime.
