The second National Skills Competition starts today
The second National Skills Competition will be held in Tianjin from September 16th to 19th, and all preparations for the competition are now ready.

This competition aims to be "smart, green, safe, and distinctive", with a total of 109 competition projects, an increase of 23 compared to the first competition, including 20 new vocational and digital technology skill categories. From the perspective of project categories, the competition is closely related to production and daily life, and its coverage is further expanded.

Wang Xiaojun, Deputy Director of the Vocational Capacity Building Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security: This competition involves 15 sectors of the national economy, including manufacturing, information technology, transportation, construction, service, and mining, covering 75% of the national economy sectors.
At present, the first joint debugging and trial of the venue layout and participating equipment for various events in the competition has been completed, and more than 4000 participants are ready.
Zheng Yonghao, a participant in the mechatronics competition, said: This competition is the largest one I have ever participated in. With so many contestants competing on the same stage, I also hope to be among the top.

Compared with the last competition, the second national skills competition added six progressiveness, representative and widely employed projects in the industry, such as lifting equipment application technology, oil drilling technology, power system operation and maintenance, computer software testing, robot welding technology and cooking, which are further closer to the actual production of enterprises. In the field of robot welding technology, contestants design programming to input parameters such as welding path and angle into the program, achieving standardization of each welded component.
Zhang Houqiang, a participant in the robot welding technology competition: Like robot welding technology, it focuses on the field of high-end equipment manufacturing. This robot can achieve a very high level, similar to a human body.
With the booming development of emerging industries, a group of new professions have also emerged. This competition added new professional events of digital technology skills. Through the setting of five professional and technical competition projects of "intelligent manufacturing engineering technology, integrated circuit engineering technology, industrial Internet engineering technology, artificial intelligence engineering technology, and virtual reality engineering technology", it aims to find more skilled talents in new professions and achieve the integration and development of technology and skills. In the virtual reality engineering technology competition area, contestants achieve an interactive virtual reality scene during the three-day competition period through 3D modeling, programming animations, and other methods.
