The Ministry of Education launches the 2023 National Cybersecurity Awareness Week Campus Day event
On September 12, Xinhua News Agency reported that the first lesson "How to Understand Network Literacy" in the "Classroom for Improving Network Literacy among College Students" officially began, marking the beginning of the 2023 National Cybersecurity Promotion Week Campus Day event. This year's Campus Day, the Ministry of Education has organized a series of key activities to enhance the awareness and ability of network security prevention among university teachers and students, forming a strong atmosphere of "jointly building a network security defense line and guarding a clean home together".
It is reported that this year's Network Security Literacy Enhancement Classroom includes 6 high-quality courses, with 6 experts from universities such as Peking University, Communication University of China, and University of Political Science and Law of China giving lectures on topics such as "how to identify network information", "how to identify network fraud", and "how to strictly abide by national security bottom lines". Combined with vivid case studies, practical strategies and skills are provided to college students in the new era to enhance their network security literacy.
During the National Cybersecurity Propaganda Week, the Department of Ideological and Political Work of the Ministry of Education guided Chinese university students to hold the "Guarding Youth and the Internet with You" national university student cybersecurity knowledge quiz activity online. Through online quizzes, we deeply popularized cybersecurity knowledge, enhanced university students' awareness of cybersecurity and self-protection ability, and encouraged them to strive to become "network security experts".
In addition, Chinese university students have launched a cybersecurity learning zone online, focusing on three thematic modules: high-quality micro courses on cybersecurity, campus day university activities, and cybersecurity promotion achievements, fully showcasing the achievements of national cybersecurity promotion and education in universities during the national cybersecurity promotion cycle, and creating a high-quality resource platform for cybersecurity learning for university teachers and students.
