The helmsman of the "Yixin Europe" China Europe freight train, serving as a torchbearer: the spirit of Zhejiang merchants "never dies"
"It is an honor to participate in the torch relay in my hometown, and this is also my first time serving as a torchbearer." On September 17th, Feng Xubin, the operator of the "Yixin Europe" China Europe freight train and the recipient of the honorary title of "Top Ten Young Zhejiang Overseas Chinese", said.
On that day, the Jinhua Station of the 19th Asian Games Torch Relay in Hangzhou was launched, with Feng Xubin serving as the 46th torchbearer.
"I just returned from attending the China Europe Railway International Cooperation Forum," said Feng Xubin.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the initiative of jointly building the "the Belt and Road". China Europe Express is the landmark brand of jointly building the "the Belt and Road". For many years, many Chinese goods, including Yiwu, have been shipped to the world on the "Yixin Europe" China Europe freight train.
"Nowadays, the high value-added and high-tech products transported by the 'Yixin Europe' China Europe freight train are showing a growth trend. We are further improving the high-quality development level of the train, for example, the digital empowerment operation function should be launched soon. Feng Xubin said that in the future, the 'Yixin Europe' China Europe freight train will accelerate its' going out 'layout through cooperation in building overseas hubs, distribution centers, and other means.".
According to data, as of September 17th, the "Yixin Europe" China Europe freight train has operated a total of 1261 trains this year, delivering over 104000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 11.0%; Since its launch, the total number of trains has exceeded 6200, with a shipment volume exceeding 520000 TEUs.
As a member of Zhejiang Merchants, Feng Xubin has been "venturing into the world" for over 20 years. He once said that he "has always had an entrepreneurial mindset and is moving forward.". At the beginning of the entrepreneurship, he and his employees traveled back and forth between Yiwu and Madrid, Spain multiple times within two months, and with the help of multiple parties, they finally managed to fill up the goods for the first train. Nowadays, the "Yixin Europe" China Europe freight train has opened 18 point-to-point international railway freight direct train routes in different directions, covering more than 160 cities in more than 50 countries and regions, with over 10000 types of goods.
From the "container consolidation train" in the past to the current "hot cakes" in product exports, it is inseparable from the "Four Thousand Spirits" of Zhejiang merchants who "travel through mountains and rivers, think in every way possible, speak in countless words, and endure countless hardships"; Now, with an average of about 5 trips per day, the sound of the whistle is also responding to the saying "the light boat has crossed ten thousand mountains".
When it comes to the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games at his doorstep, Feng Xubin said that his favorite sport is table tennis. "As long as time permits, I will definitely watch the game."
The approaching Hangzhou Asian Games has also sparked a strong "sports culture" in various regions. "Our 'Yixinou' team has its own basketball team. In the past few years, we also organized basketball friendly matches with customs and other departments to promote the physical fitness of employees." Feng Xubin said that in the future, he plans to 'restart' the basketball game and encourage employees who sit in the office for a long time to 'move' and promote a new style of fitness for all employees.
