Recently, 13 people, including Wang and Huang, were suspected of committing fraud and were prosecuted by the People's Procuratorate of Lingao County to the People's Court of Lingao County in accordance with the law.
During the review and prosecution stage, the procuratorial organs informed the defendants Wang, Huang, and 13 others of their litigation rights in accordance with the law, informed the victims of their litigation rights in accordance with the law, interrogated the defendants in accordance with the law, and listened to the opinions of the defense counsel.
The People's Procuratorate of Lingao County sues and accuses
During the period from 2019 to 2022, Wang and Huang established Hainan Dongfeng Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., Hainan Jinrun Cultural Development Co., Ltd., and Hainan Yilong Cultural Development Co., Ltd. respectively to carry out telecommunications network fraud. They also established a drainage and marketing department within the company, instructing Hu, Lan, Mo, Jian, Wang Neng, Li, Huang, Yuan, Yuan, Chen, and Fu to impersonate Buddhist monks and laymen on the internet to attract the attention of victims. Later, they also accused Hu, Lan, Mo, Wu, Jian, Ming, Wang Neng, Li, Huang, Peng, Yuan, Yuan, Yuan, Quan, Chen, and Fu of carrying out Buddhist activities such as repairing temples, assisting in printing scriptures, and fundraising merit funds to attract the attention of victims. Multiple victims committed fraud, totaling over 35 million yuan. According to law, 13 individuals including Wang and Huang should be held criminally responsible for the crime of fraud.
