On the same afternoon, 91 construction machinery vehicles from brands such as "China National Heavy Duty Truck" and "XCMG" departed from the port at the Shanghai Military Industry Road Terminal. After completing customs supervision, they were loaded onto the bulk carrier "BULKTEC" and set sail for the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia and Guyana are both countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road". This year marks the tenth anniversary of the "the Belt and Road" initiative. In the past ten years, the "the Belt and Road" initiative has driven nearly a trillion dollars in investment, significantly accelerated investment in major overseas engineering projects in key areas such as infrastructure construction, and expanded the export scale of construction machinery and vehicles such as domestic excavators and dump trucks.
According to the statistics of Shanghai Customs, in the first seven months of this year, the export value of construction machinery in the customs area of Shanghai Customs reached 590.1 billion yuan, up 30.4% year on year, of which the export value of construction machinery to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" accounted for more than 55%.
