The construction of Kangnan Road Station has made new progress, and the construction of Metro Line 21 is accelerating
Recently, the reporter learned from Shentong Metro Group that the main structure of the foundation pit in the third area of Kangnan Road Station, Section 3 of the civil engineering of Phase I of Metro Line 21 has been successfully capped, making phased progress and laying a solid foundation for subsequent shield tunneling construction.
It is reported that the Kangnan Road Station of Phase I, Section 3 of Line 21 is an underground two-level island station, which adopts a double column and three span cast-in-place reinforced concrete box structure. The effective platform width is 12 meters, and the main scale of the station is 397 meters x 28 meters. The total construction area of the station is 27006 square meters, including 4 entrances and exits and 2 sets of wind pavilions. The excavation depth of the foundation pit is 16.6 to 18.4 meters, and the bottom of the foundation pit is located in four layers of muddy clay. The construction is carried out using the open cut method.
The foundation pit in Zone 3 of Kangnan Road Station is poured from the first bottom plate to the top of the main structure. On the premise of ensuring construction safety and quality, the construction process is continuously optimized on site, the construction period is scientifically arranged, and construction is organized reasonably, cross operations, and geological conditions are complex. Simultaneously implementing a "grid based" management model, increasing on-site construction management efforts, and improving the level of refined project management, so as to fully control the overall safety, quality, and progress of the project.

The on-site management during the main structure reconstruction stage strictly follows the "first piece system", and strictly controls the construction quality of the main structure bottom plate, side wall, middle plate, top plate and other processes, striving to create a high-quality project.
The first phase of Metro Line 21 has a total length of about 28 kilometers and 18 stations. The route passes through Chuansha New Town, Kangqiao Town, Zhangjiang Town, Jinqiao Town, and Gaoxing Town from south to north, connecting important areas such as the International Tourism Resort, Zhangjiang Science City, and Jinqiao City Sub Center.
After the completion of the project, it will provide better public transportation facilities and services for residents along the route, promote the development of key areas, and improve the efficiency and quality of travel along the route. Especially in promoting the coordinated development of the three functional zones in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, supporting the full play of the functions of the two main and sub centers, and promoting the construction of Shanghai as a globally influential science and technology innovation center, it plays an important role.
