The "Chinese Style" in Hangzhou Asian Games Village
Hangzhou, September 14th (Xinhua) - When the Hangzhou Asian Games encountered a "Chinese style", the interweaving of traditional culture and modern sports was fully demonstrated in the Hangzhou Asian Games Village. As the largest non competition venue of the Hangzhou Asian Games, the story of "Village" is particularly exciting, and "Chinese style" is slowly blowing in.

The Hangzhou Asian Games Village is divided into three major parts: athlete village, technical officer village, and media village, with supporting facilities such as international area and public area. Although the functional attributes are different, the "cultural cottage" is a standard configuration for each village and a window for three-dimensional display of traditional Chinese culture.
Walking into the cultural cabin of the athletes' village, a 60 meter long "Chinese Loong" kite hovered over the cabin, symbolizing the long history, broad and profound Chinese civilization. Inside, traditional Chinese techniques such as clasps, flower wrapping, and velvet production, woodblock printing, and Lin'an Changhua bamboo weaving were showcased one by one, attracting everyone to take photos and check in with exquisite works.

Among them, the intangible cultural heritage of Zhejiang Province, Xiaoshan River Crossing Cloth Reel, is neatly decorated on the entire white wall. Based on the crystallization of China's agricultural civilization - the 24 solar terms, representative plants of each solar term are selected as natural dyes. After dyeing, each work presents a unique "pulp pattern" and ever-changing.
Wu Ying, a provincial-level inheritor of intangible cultural heritage in Zhejiang, warmly invited visitors to personally experience the production of Xiaoshan cross river cloth. She introduced, "As a cultural exhibition project within the Hangzhou Asian Games Village, representative plants from different solar terms have been carefully selected, hoping to showcase the scenery of Hangzhou at different seasons to the world, spread culture, and convey happiness."
The assistance of intelligent technology has made the display of traditional skills more fresh and diverse. I saw an intelligent seal engraving machine surrounded by everyone, and after several minutes of waiting, a personalized art seal was completed. It is understood that this application uses seal carving, the most culturally rich and difficult ancient art, as a carrier, and uses artificial intelligence, interactive design, hardware development and other technologies to lower its threshold, helping zero basic users design and produce their own seals.

Not only that, champion athletes can also experience silk customization that embodies the beauty of the East in the cultural cabin. After personalized design, the finished product can be delivered to Hangzhou Asian Games Village in as little as 4 hours; Other athletes who participate in the customized experience can also receive a small scarf as a commemoration for this Asian Games.
"In addition to the intense competition, we hope that athletes can experience cultural charm in the cultural cabin, allowing their bodies and minds to relax." Tu Wenjun, the comprehensive support commissioner of the athlete village, told reporters that the cultural cabin in the village is themed around "music", reflecting the happy and energetic characteristics of athletes. The interactive experience area includes 7 themes, 22 interactive projects, and 2 Chinese Bridge interactive experience activities. During the competition, 5 experiential activities will be organized here every day, allowing athletes to have closer contact and deeper understanding of Chinese culture.
Compared to the relaxed and joyful atmosphere of the athlete village, the cultural cottage in the technical officer village is mainly based on "national style". Through the display and interactive projects of intangible cultural heritage, tea culture, guqin art, fan making skills, etc. set up in the cultural house, it reflects a strong traditional Chinese cultural charm.

"There are over 400 officials aged 60 and above in the Technical Officials' Village, so the cultural cottage here mainly focuses on immersive experience of Chinese culture. For example, in the tea culture experience area, technical officials can not only learn about the long history of Chinese tea culture, but also experience brewing and tasting tea on site. Zhejiang style Guqin artists will perform on site, enjoy tea and listen to the qin, and still feel unsatisfied." said Qi Xiangyang, cultural activity director of the Hangzhou Asian Games Village Operation Management Center.
The media village cultural cottage has also sparked a "Chinese style". Entering the room, the aroma of traditional Chinese medicine wafted across the face. Dong Hong, a staff member of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Exhibition Department at the Comprehensive Outpatient Department of the Hangzhou Asian Games Village Operation Management Center, explained, "There are many dehumidification bags made of traditional Chinese medicine placed in the cultural cabin. While learning about traditional Chinese medicine culture, media friends can also experience traditional Chinese medicine tie dyeing fabrics, making traditional Chinese medicine sachets, and so on."

Traditional Chinese medicine health preservation is a vivid embodiment of Chinese traditional culture. In order to increase its fun and interactivity, the traditional Chinese medicine culture exhibition area also uses 3D naked eye technology to display the Eight Section Brocade, helping media reporters who are writing to exercise their muscles and bones.

In addition to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Expo, the Media Village Cultural Hut also has a cultural and creative exhibition area, Xiling Cultural School, and an interactive display area for intangible cultural heritage. Various gold and stone seal carving works created by contemporary registered members of Xiling Seal Engraving Society, including 40 seal carving works for Hangzhou Asian Games competition projects, 19 seal carving works for previous Asian Games theme slogans, and non Chinese character seals and graphic seals created with relevant elements from all participating countries in this Asian Games.
The opening of the Hangzhou Asian Games is approaching, and the "Chinese style" in the Asian Games Village will also become a unique window for visitors from all walks of life to experience the "Chinese flavor".
