The Asian Games Torch of "Xiushan Lishui Youth City" is Passing on the Vitality of Youth in Lishui
After careful preparation, the torch relay event at the Lishui Station of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou was launched at 9:00 am today at the front square of the Lishui Administrative Center, with the theme of "Xiushan Lishui Youth City". The total length of the route is 8.4 kilometers.
The torch relay route at Lishui Station starts from the front square of the municipal administrative center, then passes through city landmarks such as the Sports Center, Grand Theater, Chuzhou City, Yingxing Tower, and Jiangbin Greenway along the way, and ends at the waterfront park, with a length of 8.4 kilometers.
The entire route connects the main green parks in the city, showcasing the unique ecological advantages of "Green New Lishui". The Memorial Hall of the Revolutionary Base Area in Southwest Zhejiang, where the torch relay passes, is a concentrated display of the "Red Southwest Zhejiang", highly in line with the spirit of hard work and upward movement contained in the torch relay. During the relay, the torchbearer will experience the profound cultural history of old Lishui such as Liyangmen, Nanmingmen, Xiaoshuimen, and Yingxinglou, as well as the era style of Lishui's "golden growth pole" brought by new urban landmarks such as Wandi Square.
A total of 170 torchbearers participated in the torch relay event at the Lishui Station of the Hangzhou Asian Games. The selection of torchbearers in Lishui City takes into account the characteristics of the city, industry, and region. It is recommended and selected by the organization, and is publicly announced in the local system. Including Zhong Huayan, a representative of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a national model teacher, and a teacher at Yunhe County Third Middle School; Lu Qianqian, a roller skater from Lishui who has won 8 world championships and more than 20 national championships; Bao Chaohuo, the party branch secretary of Chenjiapu Village in Songyang County, who successfully revived traditional villages; Express delivery guy Shang Siqiang; Zhao Yijun, master of Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle); Lin Yaochen, a "technology powerhouse" who has successfully overcome six common technical challenges in the industry; Ding Jinhui, a former Chinese basketball player from Lishui who won the Guangzhou Asian Games and Men's Basketball Asian Championships, represented the Chinese team in the 2012 London Olympics.
These torchbearers come from various industries, including advanced model figures, grassroots frontline representatives, sports workers, as well as ethnic minorities, resident troops, overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots, disabled people, and other groups. They are all the best narrators of the spirit of the Asian Games and the brilliance of Lishui.
