According to Reuters, the Ukrainian government announced on September 18th that six deputy defense ministers, including Hanna Maliyar, have been dismissed from their positions.
The report stated that the Ukrainian government did not explain why these six deputy defense ministers were dismissed.
The report states that earlier this month, the Ukrainian government appointed Rustem Umerov as the Minister of Defense.
In addition, according to the Sputnik News Agency of Russia, Ukrainian legislator Goncharenko revealed on the "Telegraph" social platform that the Ukrainian government has removed all deputy ministers of the Ministry of Defense and State Secretary, including Hanna Maliyar.
Previously, according to the Russian Lianta website, Ukraine's new Defense Minister Umerov announced on the 7th that a comprehensive audit would be conducted. He also stated that the team of the Ministry of National Defense is developing a transformation plan for Ukraine's defense system, which includes new strategies for national security and defense.
According to reports, Umerov said that the new strategy will be developed according to NATO standards. He pointed out that the main task of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense will be to combat corruption and provide as many contracts as possible for Ukrainian arms manufacturers.
