Signed it! South Africa Joins China's International Lunar Research Station Program
According to the independent online news website of South Africa on September 12th, South Africa and China have signed a memorandum of understanding, and South Africa will participate in the International Lunar Research Station program.
According to reports, the South African National Space Agency stated that Chinese Ambassador to South Africa, Chen Xiaodong, signed a memorandum of understanding on behalf of the Chinese National Space Agency with the Director of the South African National Space Agency, Humbrany Mudau, marking South Africa's official accession to the China International Lunar Research Station program.
The South African National Space Agency stated in a statement that, according to the memorandum of understanding, South Africa will participate extensively in cooperation in scientific demonstrations, mission implementation, operations and applications, as well as education and training.
On April 24th, an exhibition with the theme of "China's Aerospace Towards the World" was held in Hefei, Anhui Province. The picture shows the audience visiting the conceptual model of the "Future Lunar Research Station" in the science popularization exhibition area.
The South African National Space Agency also stated, "In addition, according to the cooperation framework of the BRICS remote sensing satellite constellation, China and the South African National Space Agency have also cooperated in remote sensing data exchange and application, as well as satellite ground stations."

The National Space Administration of China stated in a statement that South Africa's accession to the International Lunar Research Station program is of great significance for promoting scientific and technological progress in space science and technology in central and southern China.
