On the morning of September 20th, the starting ceremony of the Hangzhou Station of the 19th Asian Games Torch Relay was held on the city balcony of Hangzhou. After a relay in 10 cities within Zhejiang Province, including Huzhou, Jiaxing, Shaoxing, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Taizhou, Wenzhou, Lishui, Jinhua, and Quzhou, the torch of the 19th Asian Games returned to Hangzhou on September 20th, completing its final relay and successfully concluding at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center.

The torch of the Asian Games is passed down from generation to generation. Since September 8, when the torch relay of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou was launched on the bank of Xizi Lake in Hangzhou, 2022 torchbearers, the youngest being 14 years old and the oldest being 84 years old, participated in the torch relay, including athletes, coaches and other sports workers, as well as advanced representatives of the times, loyal guardians, moral models, model worker, "the most beautiful people" and other people who have made outstanding contributions to the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Hangzhou is born, prospered, and named after water. It is a city where rivers, lakes, seas, and streams coexist. The launch ceremony of the torch relay was held on September 8th at the Yongjin Square in West Lake. If West Lake represents the traditional beauty of Hangzhou, then the starting point of this Hangzhou Station transmission, the Qianjiang New City where the city balcony is located, represents the beauty of modern Hangzhou. This is the bridgehead of Hangzhou's transition from the West Lake era to the Qiantang River era. The towering buildings in sight are a benchmark urban area for China's building economy. The spring water of a river flows through the city, and infinite charm grows on both sides. The vast Qiantang River is like a giant dragon hovering over the land of Zhejiang, watching the ever-changing landscape of Hangzhou.

Since the 1990s, Hangzhou has been running rapidly from the "West Lake era" to the "Qiantang River era" and then to the "development by embracing the river", with a rapidly changing urban landscape. Hangzhou is no longer just the elegance and beauty of "three mountains and one city", but also the grandeur and grandeur of "one river and spring water passing through the city". The Qiantang River has become the core axis of Hangzhou's urban development today. From "crossing the river" to "embracing the river", although there is only a one word change, it brings not only changes in area to Hangzhou, but more importantly, changes in the regional economic and geographical pattern, which is the practice of the new development concept in Hangzhou. By 2035, Hangzhou will basically form a pattern of urban development with the Qiantang River as the central axis, and build the Qiantang River ecological belt, cultural belt, landscape belt, transportation belt, industrial belt, and urban belt, becoming an important exhibition belt for Hangzhou to build a unique and exciting world famous city.
A total of 203 torchbearers participated in the torch relay at Hangzhou Station. The theme of the torch relay route at Hangzhou Station is "Splendid and Prosperous New Paradise". Starting from the city balcony of Hangzhou, the route follows the Yangtze River Greenway - Xixing Bridge - Internet of Things Town - Olympic Sports Center Comprehensive Training Hall - Hangzhou Gate - Hangzhou International Expo Center, and finally enters the West Square of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center to hold a closing ceremony, which is about 11.4 kilometers long and takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes, fully showcasing the unique charm of the intersection of Hangzhou's history and reality, showcasing the spirit of standing at the forefront and racing non-stop.

The interactive programs along the torch relay are also exciting and diverse. On the "Most Beautiful Greenway", young teachers in Hangzhou perform the song "@ Future". It's a pleasure to have friends coming from afar, and the people of Hangzhou warmly welcome them from all over the world. At the southwest corner of Feihong Road on Wentao Road, the song and dance show "New Tide Asian Games" integrates elements such as anime characters, street dance, and rhythmic gymnastics, integrating youth trend culture with Asian Games sports culture, showcasing the beauty of "harmony, beauty, and cooperation", symbolizing the promotion of diverse cultural exchanges and mutual learning in Asia, and the construction of a beautiful home for mankind.
