Recently, after appraisal, it was found that two cultural relics seized by Huanggang Customs, a subsidiary of Shenzhen Customs, through the exit channel of Futian Port travel inspection are general cultural relics prohibited by the state from leaving the country. At present, the case has been transferred to the subsequent disposal department of the customs for processing.
Huanggang Customs officers discovered a male passenger's luggage with abnormal machine inspection images at the exit passage of Futian Port. They intercepted it and subsequently discovered a total of 64 suspected calligraphy and painting relics from his black suitcase. According to the appraisal by the Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relics Appraisal Station, two of them are the joint Bi book of Yan Qiuping's inscription on Yuan Jimao and Zuo Xixuan's painting of landscape maiden beads in the late Qing Dynasty, and the painting of landscape maiden by Yuan Lizhun's inscription on Zuo Xihui in the late Qing Dynasty, which are general cultural relics prohibited by the state from leaving the country.

Customs Reminder: According to the Cultural Relics Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, cultural relics exiting the country must be reviewed by the cultural relics import and export audit institution designated by the cultural relics administrative department of the State Council. Cultural relics that have been approved for export shall be issued an export permit by the cultural relics administrative department of the State Council, and shall be exported from the port designated by the cultural relics administrative department of the State Council. Any unit or individual transporting, mailing, or carrying cultural relics out of the country shall declare to the customs, and the customs shall release them with the cultural relics exit permit. If smuggling cultural relics constitutes a crime, criminal responsibility shall be pursued in accordance with the law; If the act constitutes smuggling but does not constitute a crime, the customs shall impose penalties in accordance with relevant laws and administrative regulations.
