On the afternoon and evening of September 19th, some areas of Suqian City and Yancheng City were successively hit by tornadoes, causing casualties and property damage. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Nobunaga Xing, immediately issued instructions and adjusted the research itinerary currently being conducted in the northern Jiangsu region, rushing to the scene to visit and comfort the affected people. The tornado that occurred in Daxing Town, Suyu District, Suqian, and Nancai Township, Economic Development Zone was EF2 level, causing 5 deaths and 4 serious injuries. 137 houses collapsed, 1646 houses were generally damaged, and 41.8 hectares of crops were damaged. 405 people were temporarily relocated and resettled.
Nobunaga came to Daxing Town to conduct on-site inspections of the disaster situation, and went to Daxing Central Hospital to visit, treat, and resettle the people.

The tornadoes in Lupu Town and Banhu Town, Funing County, Yancheng were classified as EF3, causing 5 deaths and 4 minor injuries. 614 houses were damaged, 199 hectares of crops were damaged, and 129 people were temporarily relocated.
