The location where he passed the torch was the Xixing Bridge in Hangzhou, where he jumped into the river to save people on the afternoon of June 13th.
On September 20th, the final leg of the torch relay for the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou was launched.
Around 10 o'clock in the morning, Peng Qinglin, the 36th torchbearer who jumped into the river to save people, appeared and passed the torch. As Peng Qinglin took the torch and ran forward, cheers and cheers came from the crowd. "This young man is amazing. He was the one who jumped off such a high bridge to save more than three months ago," said a citizen watching the torch relay.

The Chao News reporter checked the time and found that the day Peng Qinglin passed the torch happened to be the 99th day after he saved people.
When jumping into the river to save someone, he was the delivery guy Peng Qinglin. At this moment, the torchbearer Peng Qinglin ran forward with his head held high and his chest held high. Holding a torch and running over the bridge where he had saved people, Peng Qinglin told the Chao News reporter, "This feeling is unbelievable, wonderful, and even more glorious."
"Dream like 99 days"
On September 19th, when reporting to the New Overseas Chinese Hotel, the headquarters of the torchbearer, Peng Qinglin was still a bit dazed.
After receiving the room card, when he went to the room to put his personal belongings, he used the electricity card as a room card and swiped it many times.
"How did I become the torchbearer of the Asian Games?" This was a question asked by Chao News reporter when he asked Peng Qinglin about his feelings about becoming a torchbearer of the Asian Games.
On June 13th, Peng Qinglin jumped into the Qiantang River from the over 12 meter high Xixing Bridge in Hangzhou and bravely rescued a woman who fell into the water. Peng Qinglin used popular internet slang nowadays. "At that moment, the gears of fate began to turn," he said, never realizing that the seemingly ordinary act of saving people could splash such a large "water splash".
After saving the person, Peng Qinglin was admitted to the hospital for treatment due to a compression fracture of the thoracic vertebrae caused by falling into the water from a high place. During hospitalization, various honors and rewards flooded in. He became a "good person in Hangzhou" and was selected as a "good person in Zhejiang" in the second quarter, and was also awarded second class merit by the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government. "Being flattered and surprised" is the only word he can say in the face of these honors.
After recovering from the injury, he immediately joined the ranks of urban volunteers for the Hangzhou Asian Games, and also returned to his hometown to set up the "Peng Qinglin Charity Center" to donate grants to students from difficult families.
Now, he has become the torchbearer of the Hangzhou Asian Games again.
"When I was sleeping last night, I was thinking, 'Isn't this a dream?' Tomorrow, I'll wake up and lie in the bed of the rental room again." He said, feeling very real when he touched the Asian Games torch marked with '036'.
"I really became a torchbearer," he said excitedly.
"Encountered role models from various industries"
During the training before the torch relay, Peng Qinglin had an extremely high popularity among the torchbearers at this station. He awkwardly told the Chao News reporter that many torchbearers knew him and even greeted him. "I don't know many people, but they all know me and praise me for being brave, and I'm almost blushing."

During the training day, Peng Qinglin, who was a bit "social bully", made many torch bearer friends. "My previous baton was Li Hanlu, the women's football coach from Hangzhou, and my last baton was Wu Haiyan, the former captain of the women's national team who has participated in the Olympics." Peng Qinglin said that compared to these torchbearers who have made contributions to the national sports industry, he feels a bit insignificant.
Peng Qinglin carefully read the introduction of the torchbearer that day. "They are really 'experts like a cloud', they are all role models in various industries. Peng Qinglin was deeply impressed by Kong Shengdong, a bus driver on Hangzhou No. 28, and Zhang Nengqing, the founder of the Zhang Nengqing Public Welfare Service Station in Shangcheng District.". Peng Qinglin said that these torchbearers are also role models for him to learn from, and he also wants to become a person who conveys the warmth, civilization, and kindness of Hangzhou.

Similarly, when holding the torch, Peng Qinglin felt that he represented the entire group of young men. "I was seen by everyone because I jumped into the river to save people, but more young men worked in obscurity, delivering guests' meals in a timely manner, and more young men chose to leave quietly after 'yelling at injustice'. Peng Qinglin said, hoping that the two-way journey between young men and Hangzhou would be like an invisible torch, always passing through everyone's lives.".
During the Asian Games, I will watch competitions and also volunteer
As the Hangzhou Asian Games approached, Peng Qinglin received an invitation from Hangzhou Chun'an Jieshou Sports Center. "I prefer cycling, and when I was hospitalized, the venue gave me Asian Games tickets." Peng Qinglin's personal plan during the Asian Games was mainly to watch the competition, and he really wanted to see how talented the top cycling athletes in Asia and even internationally are.
Of course, in addition to watching the competition, Peng Qinglin stated that he will make time to participate in some city volunteer services during the Asian Games. "I will wear the clothes of a city volunteer, and whenever I encounter citizens or tourists in need of help, I will go to help," he said.
