Regarding Bojie, Belarus: Suspend performance of this agreement
According to TASS on September 19th, the House of Representatives of the Belarusian National Assembly passed a bill on first reading to suspend compliance with the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe with Poland and the Czech Republic.
The bill states: "Suspend compliance with the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe signed on November 19, 1990, between the Republic of Poland and the Czech Republic."
According to reports, the Czech Republic decided in August 2022 not to fulfill the treaty with Belarus, and Poland made the same decision in March of this year. The Permanent National Security Committee of the House of Representatives of the Belarusian National Assembly pointed out: "According to the conclusion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Republic of Belarus... has the right to suspend its obligations to Poland and the Czech Republic under the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe, as the latter two have decided not to fulfill their obligations to Belarus under the international treaty. This means in practice that Belarus will suspend providing notifications and information on conventional weapons and equipment stipulated in the treaty to the aforementioned countries. Belarus will continue to implement the treaty with other participating countries."
Committee member Yevgeny Zaitsev emphasized, "Today, we are witnessing the militarization process taking place on Polish territory near our borders. The passage of relevant laws is a response only to those countries that have taken unfriendly actions against our country."
The report points out that Belarus has repeatedly claimed that the actions of some European countries have led to the destruction of the military control structure in the region.
