Pudong Art Museum solicits beautiful memories of "era and people" from citizens
At present, the "Liu Xiangcheng Camera · Era · People" exhibition currently on display at the Pudong Art Museum has aroused countless viewers' memories. As one of the most important Chinese photographers since the 20th century, Liu Xiangcheng's documentary photography works showcase the development and changes of Chinese cities and the rich daily lives of citizens in the 1970s and 1990s, almost shaping the "national face" that China displayed to the world in the early stages of reform and opening up.
As viewers who have experienced this era firsthand, encountering these scenes, costumes, and even the special emotions conveyed by people in works during exhibitions will deeply empathize and move them. Now, the Pudong Art Museum has launched a special series of activities to collect and display old photos, inviting audiences to participate in the review of the era's images, using individual stories to outline the collective memories of several generations.
This solicitation activity is divided into four themes: "Love at That Time", "Students", "My City, My Home", and "Modern Times". It is closely related to the exhibition works and runs through the beautiful memories of "time and people".
Topic 1:
At that time, love
Under the lens of Liu Xiangcheng, the subtle and unique body language reflects the introverted and shy people of the 1970s and 1980s, which is also a microcosm of the love memories of most Chinese people during that era. The collection of photos for the "Love at That Time" section revolves around the small moments of communication and interaction between lovers in old times. Personal photos related to "love at that time" from the 1970s to the 1990s can be submitted.

Topic 2:
A plethora of students
Reading and education occupy the most important youth time of most Chinese people's lives, and perhaps the clearest moment in our collective memory. The ten year cold window of neglecting sleep and food, the youthful face of lush years, and the memories of youth, although youthful, seem even more precious. Do you still leave any souvenir photos about your time reading? Participate in the submission and share your educational story with everyone!

Topic 3:
My City, My Home
The urban environment is constantly reshaped in the rapid development of the times, and the iconic roads and buildings in the city witness people's living habits and preferences. They may not be the same as before, or they may remain the same as before. Growth may blur the appearance of many things, but the hometown and city deep in memory will always be gentle and lovely. The photo collection for the "My City, My Home" section focuses on a corner of the city and hometown. Welcome to share those unique era portraits that have been captured in the lens.

Topic 4:
Modern Era
The popularity of the 1980s often influenced the younger generation, and it is believed that people who have experienced that era still retain their fashionable items in their homes today. Wearing sunglasses, drinking coffee, perming hair, and doing beauty treatments, people gradually demonstrate their individuality and pursue beauty and fashion. How is this fashion trend reflected in you or your family and friends? What interesting fashion items are there in the old photos? Share the modern fashion of that era with Pudong Art Museum!
