Poland is involved in "money for visa"? Germany can't sit still anymore
According to Reuters on September 20th, German government sources told Reuters reporters that Germany summoned the Polish ambassador on the 19th, and German Interior Minister Nancy Feyzer also had a phone conversation with the Polish Interior Minister to discuss allegations of immigrants exchanging cash for visas.
The report states that allegations of such transactions have stirred up Polish politics. The opposition accuses the Polish government of being an accomplice in such transactions. Individuals with immigration needs can quickly obtain a visa without undergoing proper review after paying intermediary fees.
The report also stated that informed sources said that Germany is urgently seeking to clarify how many visas Poland may have issued and the nationality of visa recipients, and would like to know what measures the Polish government is taking to respond.
When asked to comment on Berlin's actions, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Alkadiush Muralchik told the state-owned Polish news agency, "This involves clarifying some of the accusations made by Polish and German media against Poland in a completely unfair manner in the context of the immigration crisis."
