Over 800 people enter the country in a single day! Hangzhou Airport has seen a significant increase in personnel entering the Asian Games
On September 16th, with the opening of the Asian Games Village, the number of people entering Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport for the Asian Games increased significantly, ushering in a small peak. On that day, over 800 Asian Games personnel from multiple countries and regions such as Thailand, Indonesia, and Japan arrived in Hangzhou through the customs Asian Games dedicated channel, and the number of daily arrivals doubled compared to yesterday.
Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is the official entry and exit port for Hangzhou Asian Games personnel, as well as the main entry and exit port for various Asian Games athletes, technical officials, media broadcasters, and other personnel. "Today, there has been a significant increase in inbound flights related to Asia. In the morning, we ensured the clearance of nearly 300 Asian Games personnel, mostly athletes from various representative teams. This number has exceeded the number of inbound passengers from yesterday's day, and it is expected that more than 800 people will enter the Asian Games throughout the day." said Wang Tao, Deputy Director of the Tourism Inspection Department of Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport Customs, who participated in the arrival and departure guarantee. In order to ensure the smooth clearance of the significantly growing Asian Games personnel, Hangzhou Customs has set up a dedicated Asian Games channel and 6 integrated intelligent gates in the customs entry quarantine area. Asian Games personnel can complete multiple steps such as health verification, non-contact temperature measurement, and luggage inspection in a one-stop manner with just one scan of the code, and can quickly pass through the gates in 2-4 seconds.
Not only have personnel achieved rapid "boarding", but also efficient customs clearance for checked baggage. Hangzhou Customs implements non-invasive intelligent machine inspection of checked baggage through remote map recognition, effectively supervising and achieving "seamless customs clearance". "In order to ensure the efficient customs clearance of various Asian Games personnel, we have made sufficient preparations in advance and formulated various detailed security plans, including personnel arrival and departure security and customs clearance procedures, personal belongings and self use materials clearance work plans, etc. We have also developed emergency plans for various unexpected situations to ensure the safe and smooth customs clearance of Asian Games personnel," said Shen Ruochuan, Deputy Customs Director of Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport.
