After 19 days of hunger strike protests, Lee Jae myung, the leader of South Korea's largest opposition party, the Democratic Party of Korea, was taken to the hospital on the 18th due to deteriorating health conditions.
Yonhap News Agency reported, citing sources from the Democratic Party, that Lee Jae ming's blood sugar dropped sharply in the morning, almost losing consciousness, and was urgently taken to the hospital.
Li Zaiming, now 59 years old, began an indefinite hunger strike on August 31st to protest against President Yoon Seok yeol's policies.
