A month later, Meng Wanzhou returned to work at Huawei. She thanked Huawei employees at the Sakata headquarters, saying, "In the past three years, although we were thousands of miles apart, we worked together and never went far. In the past three years, although day and night were reversed, we worked together and our friendship became even stronger. In the past three years, although we faced difficulties, we overcame obstacles and fought bravely as a team. There is no mountain that cannot be crossed, and no ocean that cannot be crossed. This is our unchanging belief."
On August 29th, Huawei launched the "HUAWEI Mate60Pro Pioneer Program", and new products such as the Mate60 series were gradually launched for sale before being released. Huawei claims that a total of 100 million Mate series smartphones have been shipped.
The First Financial News reporter previously learned that some Huawei supply chain companies have felt a market recovery and are looking forward to Huawei's shipment volume continuing to increase and boost the market. Semiconductor information platform TechInsights predicts that the overall shipment volume of Huawei smartphones this year is expected to reach 35 million units, a year-on-year increase of 36%. By the end of 2023, the shipment volume of Mate 60 Pro in China is expected to exceed 1 million units.
"Looking at the timeline, whether Huawei's supply is smooth is also an important factor affecting its market performance." Ivan Lam, senior analyst at Counterpoint Research, told First Financial reporters that under normal supply conditions, the sales of Mate 60 Pro will exceed 7 million units.
According to sources citing the industry chain, Huawei has raised its target for mobile phone shipments to 40 million units this year. According to the updated estimate by Guo Minggui, an analyst at Tianfeng International Securities, Huawei's mobile phone shipments are expected to reach 60 million units in 2024. However, compared to Huawei's shipment of over 200 million smartphones in 2019, Huawei still has a long way to go from the peak of shipments in the short term.
