As of the end of 2022, the proportion of full-time teachers with a bachelor's degree or above in compulsory education in China was 81.02%. Among them, the proportion of full-time teachers with a bachelor's degree or above in rural compulsory education was 76.01%, and young and middle-aged teachers became the main body of teachers in primary and secondary schools and universities.
At the same time, a variety of training programs have continuously improved the educational and teaching abilities of teachers at all levels and types. According to statistics, in 2022 and 2023, the central government invested over 2.2 billion yuan annually to implement the "National Training Plan", and trained over 1 million teachers annually. Normalize the winter and summer training for teachers on the National Smart Education Platform, with over 16 million teachers participating in the summer training in 2023.
