Ling Yanwu, a fugitive, was sent back to her country
On September 7, under the overall coordination of the International Fugitive and Stolen Money Recovery Office of the Central Anti Corruption Coordination Group, under the guidance and assistance of the Ministry of Public Security and other departments, and through the close cooperation between the discipline inspection and supervision authorities of Hunan Province, the public security organs and the law enforcement agencies of relevant countries, Ling Yanwu, a suspected official crime and economic suspect who fled abroad, was arrested overseas and returned to the country.
Ling Yanwu, male, born in August 1976, was the former legal representative of Hunan Xinkailong Commercial Real Estate Marketing Planning Co., Ltd. She was suspected of bribery, abuse of power with state-owned company personnel, fundraising fraud, and refusal to pay labor remuneration. She fled in February 2019. The investigating authorities promptly froze the stolen funds involved in the case, actively engaged in international law enforcement cooperation, and ultimately apprehended and brought them to justice.
The person in charge of the Central Chasing and Escaping Office stated that Ling Yanwu has seriously harmed the interests of the masses, recruited and corroded public officials, and caused losses to state-owned assets. His arrest and prosecution is an important achievement of the continuous "Skynet Action" carried out by disciplinary inspection and supervision organs and public security organs. We will continue to deepen international cooperation against corruption, maintain a high-pressure situation of pursuing fugitives and recovering stolen goods, and resolutely safeguard the vital interests of the people.
