Li Qiang Meets with European Council President Michel
On the morning of September 10th local time, Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with European Council President Michelle during the G20 Leaders Summit in New Delhi.
Li Qiang stated that as the two major forces, markets, and civilizations of the world, China and Europe's relationship is related to the stability of the global landscape and the prosperity of the Eurasian continent. China and Europe are located at both ends of the Eurasian continent, with no geopolitical conflicts, let alone fundamental conflicts of interest. China hopes for prosperity and stability in Europe, and is willing to work with the European side to adhere to the positioning of the China Europe partnership, further strengthen dialogue and exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, properly address sensitive issues, promote the sustained, healthy and stable development of China Europe relations, and inject more stability and positive energy into the turbulent and intertwined world.
Li Qiang pointed out that both sides should strengthen strategic leadership. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of China EU comprehensive strategic partnership. I look forward to co chairing a new round of China EU leaders' meeting with you and President von der Leyen. China's development is not a risk but an opportunity for Europe. Both sides should continue to open up and cooperate to achieve better mutual benefit and win-win results. Whether now or in the future, China is a trusted friend and partner of Europe. China is willing to strengthen dialogue and consultation with the European side, explore the establishment of relevant mechanisms, and enhance the reliability and stability of China Europe economic and trade relations. Michelle expressed that the EU is willing to be China's sincere, trustworthy, and constructive friend and partner. China's prosperity is a good thing for the EU and the world, and the EU has no intention of curbing China's development. The European side adheres to the One China principle and is willing to work together with China to successfully hold the EU China Leaders Meeting, deepen dialogue and cooperation in various fields, and work together to address global challenges such as climate change, public health, security and stability.
