The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission announced today that Li Haitao, a member of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.

According to public information, Li Haitao was born in September 1963 in Bayan, Heilongjiang Province and has been working in this province. He has served as the Deputy Director and Party Member of the Heilongjiang Provincial Economic and Trade Commission and Provincial Economic Commission, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Jiamusi City Committee, and Secretary of the Daxing'anling District Committee. In 2011, he was appointed as the Secretary General of the Heilongjiang Provincial Government.
In December 2013, Li Haitao was appointed as the Secretary General of the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee. In early 2014, he became a member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of the Provincial Party Committee.
