For 21-year-old Laotian international student Wu Mingxiong, his first study trip to China fills him with anticipation. In April this year, Wu Mingxiong took the China Laos railway connecting China and Laos to Guangxi Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College to "learn" relevant technical knowledge of high-speed railway.
Wu Mingxiong remembers that when he first boarded the cross-border high-speed railway, his heart was both nervous and excited. He recalled in a recent interview with reporters, "The high-speed train was very fast, initially a bit nervous, but later found that it was running very steadily." He took the high-speed train from Luang Prabang Province in Laos and arrived at Mohan Station in Yunnan Province, China in only about 2 hours. Subsequently, transfer from Yunnan to high-speed rail to reach Liuzhou City, Guangxi, with a total cost of over 800 RMB.
As a landmark project of high-quality co construction of the "the Belt and Road", the opening of the China Laos Railway has greatly promoted the exchanges and economic development of cities along the line in Laos. "It used to take a day by bus from Luang Prabang Province to Vientiane, but it only took about 2 hours to arrive after the high-speed rail was opened." Wu Mingxiong said that because he was optimistic about the development prospects of the high-speed rail, he chose to study operations management in China, hoping to achieve success and return to China to serve.

"Railway transportation is an emerging industry in Laos, with a promising future." Like Wu Mingxiong, there is also Lao student Wang Yi who is optimistic about the development of the railway industry. 20-year-old Laotian girl Wang Yi came to China to study with her cousin from Laos. She hopes to become a "dynamic lady" in the future, dressing up beautifully every day to serve passengers from Laos and China.

At present, a number of "the Belt and Road" co construction projects, such as Ya'an Wanzhou High speed Railway and China Thailand Railway, are also advancing in an orderly manner. With the continuous promotion of connectivity between China and ASEAN countries, there is a strong demand for railway composite talents, and exchanges between China and ASEAN countries are becoming increasingly close.
As a vocational college with a railway background in southwestern China, Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College has admitted 4 Thai international students and 2 Laotian international students. Among them, 45 Thai international students have already graduated, and 26 students have started working in Thai rail transit companies.

At the same time, Guangxi continues to accelerate the construction of an international corridor facing ASEAN and comprehensively improve the accessibility of transportation infrastructure. Guangxi has built a total of 43 major land transportation channels for going out of provinces, borders, and seas, connecting with neighboring provinces and countries. Together, it has built a land transportation channel with "north to south, east to east, and west to west" connectivity. It has initially formed an international channel with the Beibu Gulf Port as its sea outlet, shared by railways and highways, connecting the southwest, northwest, and facing ASEAN.

Next, Guangxi will simultaneously launch efforts from sea, land, and air. According to the plan, Guangxi will have 13 highways leading to border ports connecting with Vietnam; In terms of maritime transportation, Guangxi is accelerating the construction of berths 9 and 10 in the Dalanping South Work Area of Qinzhou Port, as well as berths 1 and 2 in the Chisha Work Area of Fangcheng Port; In terms of air transportation, Guangxi will accelerate the construction of a major aviation corridor towards ASEAN.
