Kuwaiti UFO shooter father and son prepare for the Hangzhou Asian Games in high temperatures
UFO shooting is a traditional advantage event in Kuwait. Since the 2006 Doha Asian Games, the gold medals in the men's individual skeet event have been won by the Kuwait team for four consecutive Asian Games. At present, although the highest temperature in Kuwait exceeds 40 degrees Celsius, the CCTV reporter saw at the training ground that Kuwaiti athletes participating in the Hangzhou Asian Games are still persevering in training, hoping to continue their excellent performance in Hangzhou.
CCTV reporter Wang Yin: I am currently located at the training base of the Kuwait Shooting Team, where athletes participating in this year's Hangzhou Asian Games are undergoing their final sprint training before the competition. It's 10:30 in the morning now. I can show you that the outdoor temperature has already reached 42 degrees Celsius. We just took a picture here for only ten minutes, and the camera showed an alarm and turned off. But even in such hot weather, the team members still maintain outdoor training every Saturday, three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon. Everyone hopes to compete in their best form for this year's Hangzhou Asian Games.
This athlete, named Abdullah Rashid, who leisurely sips tea during training breaks, is a legendary figure of the Kuwait UFO shooting team. He has won multiple world championships and two gold medals in shooting competitions at the Asian Games. At the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, he realized his dream of winning a gold medal for the first time. This year, at the age of 60, he will continue to compete and represent Kuwait with his son Mansour Rashid in the Hangzhou Asian Games. Abdullah's son Mansour was the champion of the men's individual skeet event at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games.

Kuwaiti shooter Abdullah Rashid: I am delighted that this Asian Games will be held in China because I won the championship in China in 2010, and now I will return to China again to strive for gold medals.
This year, there are three athletes participating in the Kuwaiti men's two-way frisbee event. When it comes to the medal program, both father and son have shown a desire for gold medals.
Kuwaiti shooter Abdullah Rashid: You can see that the weather is very hot now, but we keep training day and night, hoping to win a gold medal in the competition.

Kuwaiti shooter Mansour Rashid: As the champion of the previous Asian Games, I also hope to win the championship in this competition.
In less than a week, the Kuwait Asian Games delegation is about to depart for Hangzhou, and Mansour is full of anticipation for the upcoming trip to Hangzhou.
Kuwaiti shooter Mansour Rashid: I saw a report online about the Asian Games Village, and I think it's built very well. I'm glad to see so many creative supporting facilities this year. My luggage has been packed and I am also ready to participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games.
