During the East China Expo, more than 30 sister cities from nearly 20 countries visited Guangxi International Sister Cities with their specialties, hoping to open up the "international circle of friends" market. Good items from Guangxi's international sister cities such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia gathered together, attracting many viewers to watch and make purchases.
At the exhibition, a strong aroma of Dongyin Gong wafted in, stimulating the audience's taste buds. Liu Hongliang, Vice Chairman of the Guangxi Association of Thailand, and his wife are busy cooking Thai stir fried noodles while promoting various Thai products to the public.
"On the first day of the exhibition, we talked about a $1 million cooperation." Liu Hongliang couldn't conceal his joy. Entering the Dongbo exhibition area through Guangxi International Sister City, he initially reached an intention of cooperation with a Taiwanese businessman to sell Thai Fried rice noodles, canned food and other delicacies for a long time.
Another exhibitor who is optimistic about Guangxi's "international circle of friends" resources is Yu Jianwei from French Polynesia. She took a flight for over 30 hours just to make it to the East China Expo for an appointment. "This is my first time participating in the exhibition and I am very excited," said Yu Jianwei.
This time, Yu Jianwei brought the famous Tahitian Black Pearl to the exhibition. She hopes to promote cultural exchange between the two sides and promote international cooperation in the field of education through mutual visits to sister cities.
Liu Hongliang, who has been participating in exhibitions for many years, has also witnessed the continuous expansion of Guangxi's "international circle of friends". "In 2012, we only organized 8 Thai agricultural companies to participate in the exhibition. This year, more than 80 Thai companies participated in the exhibition, covering various industries."
As of now, Guangxi has established 128 pairs of international sister cities with 39 countries, ranking fourth in the country in total. Among them, it has established 59 pairs of international sister cities with ASEAN countries, ranking first in China.
ASEAN Secretary General Gao Jinhong said after visiting the Guangxi International Friendship City and entering the Dongbo Exhibition Area, knowing the name of the sister city is not enough. By participating in joint exhibitions, people from various sister cities can have a face-to-face understanding of the products, thereby strengthening cultural exchanges, promoting mutual understanding and matchmaking, and promoting high-quality cooperation.
Since the first East China Expo, international sister cities have participated in the Expo through various forms such as visits, exhibitions, exhibitions, and promotions, sharing business opportunities in China ASEAN cooperation. The friendly city delegation and the participating parties engaged in economic and trade negotiations and friendly exchanges, which has become a beautiful scenery at the East China Expo.

South Korea's chief representative of Chungcheongbuk do in Shanghai, Nan Jiyou, believes that after Guangxi and Chungcheongbuk do formed a sister city relationship, they have been working hand in hand and developing together like friends for many years. He hopes to enter the Dongbo platform through Guangxi International Friendship City, so that more people can understand the products of Zhongqing North Road, and continue to expand exchanges and cooperation between Zhongqing North Road and Guangxi in various fields.
