Inner Mongolia police report: Successfully rescued hostages!
On the afternoon of September 21st, the Public Security Bureau of Xilinhot City, Inner Mongolia, issued a police report stating that at 11:20 pm that day, the Xilinhot Public Security Bureau received a report that a man had kidnapped a woman at a certain eyewear store.
After receiving the alarm, the local police station, criminal police, special police, traffic police and other police officers, as well as fire and emergency departments, arrived at the scene as soon as possible to carry out disposal work. According to media reports, on the afternoon of September 21st, a merchant on Erdun Road in Xilinhot City reported that at noon on the same day, a police officer came to their store to notify them to close the store door and not allow personnel to enter and exit. It was not until around 3 pm that business resumed. They later heard that a hostage taking incident had occurred at a nearby glasses store.

Another merchant on Erdun Road introduced that their store also received a notice of temporary closure at noon that day. Later, they heard about the situation of hostages being taken by nearby eyewear shops.
A merchant about 30 meters away from the eyeglass shop where the incident occurred said that they heard that the hostage was taken away by the police less than an hour after the incident, and his shop was not significantly affected.
