Hungary-Serbia high-speed train made in China
The Hungary-Serbia Railway is a landmark project of the “Belt and Road” jointly built by China and Central and Eastern European countries. At the end of last year, CRRC Changchun Rail Coach Co., Ltd. and the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia officially signed a commercial contract for the purchase of high-speed EMU vehicles. The high-speed EMU trains made in China are composed of four cars and have a maximum operating speed of 200 kilometers per hour. During the design and manufacturing process, CRRC Changchun was tailor-made for Serbia based on a mature, safe and reliable technology platform, combined with the route conditions of the Hungary-Serbia railway, as well as European standards and interconnection technical specifications. At the same time, this EMU is also equipped with a lithium battery, which has continuous endurance.
It is expected that this high-speed EMU train will run on the Hungary-Serbia Railway next year, bringing a smarter, greener and more comfortable riding experience to passengers along the line.
