Hungarian Foreign Minister warns that economic separation from China will completely eliminate Europe
According to the "Today Hungary" website on September 14th, Hungarian Foreign Minister Ciardio emphasized in Hong Kong on Wednesday that Hungary will firmly support the establishment of closer economic cooperation between Europe and China, as the separation of these two economies will be a "complete blow" to Europe and will prevent it from improving its competitiveness.
It is reported that during the group discussion of the "the Belt and Road" Summit Forum, Seattle said that the EU is currently in a poor situation, facing the most serious economic and security challenges in decades. Seardo emphasized that the competitiveness of the European Union is deteriorating day by day, which is also reflected in China's GDP surpassing that of the EU.

Regarding the argument that Europe and China should be economically separated, Seardo emphasized that the annual trade volume between the two sides is worth hundreds of billions of euros, and separating from the Chinese economy will completely eliminate Europe, thereby "strangling" the European economy.
According to the report, Siyardo pointed out that an important strategic goal of the Hungarian government is to make Hungary a hub for Eastern and Western enterprises, thereby ensuring sustained domestic economic growth. Hungary pursues a foreign policy based on connectivity, which has proved to be successful, because Hungary has become the number one destination for China's investment in China and Europe, and is also the first EU country to join the "the Belt and Road" initiative.

He also explained that European companies have a similar stance to Hungary and strongly oppose economic disengagement from China, believing that without close cooperation between the East and the West, the European continent cannot regain competitiveness.
He concluded: "Hungarians believe in connectivity, East West cooperation, and strengthening the the Belt and Road initiative will always be the strategic focus of China's foreign policy, because we have benefited greatly from it."
