Yang Lihua's main research areas are the history of Chinese philosophy, Confucianism, Taoism, and Taoism. In recent years, he has mainly focused on the study of Song Ming philosophy and Wei Jin philosophy. Yang Lihua once studied under the renowned philosopher Tang Yijie for his doctoral degree.
