On the morning of September 13th, the torch of the Hangzhou Asian Games was passed on in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. Starting from the "century old fishing port" of Shenjiamen Fishing Port, the journey showcases the coastal coastline of the "Thousand Island City" and the moving scene towards the "modern ocean city".
Zhoushan has unique marine scenery, with a long and rich history of Buddhist and marine culture. The torch relay route at Zhoushan Station is themed around "Tide in the East China Sea, Zhoushan Towards the Future". The total length of the route is about 10.9 kilometers, with a total of 170 torchbearers participating in the relay.

The torchbearers come from all walks of life, including advanced model figures such as excellent party members, model worker, and moral models, as well as representatives of front-line grass-roots organizations such as scientific researchers, leaders of getting rich, and workers of new business types, as well as ethnic minorities, resident troops, and the disabled. The proportion of frontline representatives at the grassroots level is about 62%.
Along the way of the torch relay event, there are both Shenjiamen, known as the "World Fishing Port, Oriental Fishing Capital", and the modern ocean new city full of urban fun; There are both Zhoushan International Aquatic City, a seafood trading center that integrates tourism, shopping, and tasting, as well as a vibrant water sports and leisure center; There are both the Zhoushan Sports Stadium and Gymnasium, which are rich in competitive and challenging spirit, as well as the Ocean Culture and Art Center, which has a strong atmosphere of ocean culture; There are both stunning coastal lines with endless scenery and magnificent cross sea bridges.

Li Jincheng, Executive Deputy Leader of the Torch Relay Special Group at the Zhoushan Station of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, introduced that the entire route integrates various marine elements such as the sea, port, ship, and bridge. Through the interweaving of modern and historical elements, as well as the interplay of cultural and tourism flavors with mountain and sea flavors, it comprehensively showcases the beautiful scene of the "Sea Garden City Free Trade Port".
Zhoushan is the first prefecture level city in China to be established as an archipelago. It is located at the intersection of the north-south air route and the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, backed by the vast economic hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta. In 2022, the cargo throughput of Zhoushan Port reached 620 million tons, and the river sea intermodal transportation volume exceeded 300 million tons.
