Hangzhou Asian Games | Torchbearers of the Asian Games Build Beautiful Hometowns with a Deep Love for Soil | Torchbearers | Soil
Hangzhou, September 16th (Xinhua) - On September 16th, the torch relay at the Lishui Station of the Hangzhou Asian Games ended, with 170 torchbearers participating in the relay. Among them, many torch bearers rooted in the grassroots front line are very eye-catching, they build beautiful hometowns with a deep love for the soil.
Zhang Junjie, the 161st torchbearer from Songyang, Lishui, is a "post-90s" and "new farmer" who has returned to his hometown to start a business. In 2013, one year after retiring from the military, Zhang Junjie quit his job in the county town and returned to his hometown of Hengzhang Village in Dadongba Town to become a "new farmer" in beekeeping. In 2018, like many young people, Zhang Junjie began using short videos to record his "sweet career" in beekeeping, and even gave a beautiful name - "Secret Honey in the Mountains".
At first, Zhang Junjie only posted videos with a mindset of sharing his life, without a team or many fans. Slowly, more and more people began to pay attention to him, and Zhang Junjie's orders also expanded to various parts of the country. More and more people bought honey, and the daily sales of local honey once reached 500 bottles.
"Many people think that staying in the countryside is equivalent to seeking comfort and idleness. I want everyone to change this view, and we can still work hard in the mountains to create a career." Zhang Junjie said that in his live broadcast room, the annual sales of various agricultural products have exceeded 10 million yuan.
The 61st torchbearer, Xu Guanhong, also achieved his life value by rooting in the countryside. Xu Guanhong, who has worked as a high school physics teacher, has traveled to Italy, France, Spain and other places. In 2005, the Qingtian Rice Fish Symbiosis System was recognized as an important global agricultural cultural heritage. Xu Guanhong decided to return to China and start developing the "Rice Fish Symbiosis" industry from 50 acres of idle land.
"Now, I have established a 110 acre 'rice fish symbiosis' agricultural base and a 120 acre field fish original species protection and incubation breeding base in Qingtian, Lishui. Through the' rice fish symbiosis' breeding model, I have driven a large number of farmers to become prosperous." Xu Guanhong said, "In the future, I hope that the 'rice fish symbiosis' system will be as bright as the torch of the Asian Games, allowing this beam of agricultural ecological light to illuminate the world."
Zhao Yijun, a Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) chef in Jinyun County, Lishui, started to make Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) in Jinyun when he was young, and he has been doing it for 30 years. As the 83rd torchbearer, he was both happy and excited. "I didn't expect that such a small person like me could also become the torch bearer of the Asian Games. It's a great honor!" Zhao Yijun said that in 2014, the local financial department customized a "Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) loan" financial product for such a small Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) entrepreneur. He was also lucky to become a "shopkeeper" from a "stall owner" and opened the first Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) standard store in Jinyun County.
"But what makes me more happy than making money is that Jinyun County's' Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) office 'also hired me to be the' Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) coach ', so that I can teach Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) skills and drive more people to live a good life." Zhao Yijun said that in recent years, he has brought out more than 500 Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) masters in the form of masters and apprentices. "With the apprentices opening and employment in batches, the fragrance of Jinyun Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) has spread to all parts of the country, and some students have also opened Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle) stores in the United States, Italy, Spain and other countries."
Bao Chaohuo, who once turned a "hollow village" into a "internet famous village", is the party branch secretary of Chenjiapu Village in Songyang County. At the moment when the Asian Games torch was held high on the 16th, he waved warmly towards the camera. "Serving as the torchbearer for the Hangzhou Asian Games is not only a personal honor for me, but also a great honor for all the villagers of Chenjiapu. For me, it is also a heavy responsibility." Bao Chaohuo said, "Rural revitalization is not so flashy, it depends on love, thinking and hard work. With the morale of the people, the countryside has a new look.".
It is understood that under the leadership of Bao Chaohuo, Chenjiapu Village has become better and better, attracting many tourists to come here to check in. Many young people see the development of their hometowns and return to start businesses, which not only enriches the tourism industry but also solves the employment problem for local villagers. After the introduction of homestays, bookstores and other businesses, Chenjiapu Village, which originally did not have restaurants, now has 6 restaurants. The village, which was originally inhabited by less than 40 people, now has more than 200 people living there for a long time. In 2022, the entire village received more than 300000 tourists, achieving a tourism revenue of over 19 million yuan and driving an average household income increase of 20000 yuan for left behind residents.
