Luo Yu is the vice principal of Zhoushan Youth Sports School and a former member of the Chinese women's volleyball team. During his service, Luo Yu overcame his injuries and struggled tenaciously, achieving excellent results multiple times. After retiring, she returned to her hometown and rooted herself in grassroots physical education positions.
"I came out of the island and returned to teaching at the grassroots level, hoping to help more children realize their sports dreams and also let the 'women's volleyball spirit' take root and sprout on the island," said Luo Yu.
On the 13th, a total of 170 torchbearers passed down the torch in Zhoushan. The torchbearers come from all walks of life, including advanced model figures such as excellent party members, model worker, and moral models, as well as representatives of front-line grass-roots organizations such as scientific researchers, leaders of getting rich, and workers of new business types, as well as ethnic minorities, resident troops, and the disabled. The proportion of frontline representatives at the grassroots level is about 62%.

In the hands of the torch, there is Yu Jinhong, the village branch secretary who always puts the interests of the masses at heart and tries to lead the villagers on the road to prosperity, Zhong Gengping, an environmental sanitation worker who has saved the lives of drowning victims and advised them to return to the sea. There is also Cao Xingdi, a grassroots volunteer service model who leads a team to participate in various volunteer service activities and has served more than 80000 residents in total
"Every torchbearer is an outstanding representative from all walks of life and fields in society, embodying a positive and upward trend of the times," said Li Jincheng, Executive Deputy Leader of the Torch Relay Special Group at the Zhoushan Station of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou.

The last leg of the torch relay at Zhoushan Station was played by young wrestler Zhang Yifan. "To defeat others, one must first defeat oneself" is his motto. Years of arduous training have honed his physique and strengthened his beliefs.
"Continuously surpassing oneself, breaking through one's potential, standing on a higher podium, and contributing one's own strength to wrestling. This is my goal!" said Zhang Yifan.
