General Secretary and State Councilor Kim Jong un of the Workers' Party of Korea Meets with Liu Guozhong
From September 8th to 10th, Liu Guozhong, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, led a Chinese party and government delegation to attend the 75th anniversary of North Korea's National Day and visit North Korea. During the visit, Kim Jong un, General Secretary and State Councilor of the Workers' Party of Korea, met with Liu Guozhong in Pyongyang and exchanged in-depth views on China North Korea relations and specific exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
Liu Guozhong stated that China attaches great importance to the traditional friendship between China and North Korea and is willing to promote the continuous consolidation and development of China North Korea relations. Agriculture and healthcare are important livelihood undertakings, and China is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with North Korea in these fields to benefit the people of both countries.
Kim Jong un expressed that the arrival of the Chinese delegation has added luster to the North Korean National Day event and is of great significance, and the North Korean side deeply appreciates it. The North Korean side is willing to further develop friendly and cooperative relations with China to enhance the well-being of the two peoples. May the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics continue to achieve new and greater achievements, and I believe that the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation will be realized.
During the visit, Liu Guozhong also met with North Korean Prime Minister Kim Dae hoon, attended a series of activities celebrating the 75th anniversary of North Korea's National Day, visited the China North Korea Friendship Tower, paid respects to the Chinese People's Volunteer Army Martyrs Cemetery in Anzhou, and visited the Sino North Korea Friendship House and Cooperative Farm.
