Four national departments have issued commendations! The Intellectual Property Trial Division of Pudong New Area People's Court was awarded the title of "Outstanding Collective in Intellectual Property Protection Work"
In order to praise the advanced, encourage the real work, and promote intellectual property protection to a new level, the China National Intellectual Property Administration, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and the Ministry of Public Security decided to give a circular of commendation to 100 collectives and 200 individuals who have made outstanding achievements in national intellectual property protection in 2022. Among them, the Intellectual Property Trial Division of the People's Court of Pudong New Area in Shanghai was awarded the title of "Outstanding Collective in Intellectual Property Protection Work" and was on the list.
As the first grassroots court intellectual property trial court in China, the Intellectual Property Trial Court of Pudong New Area People's Court in Shanghai has always adhered to the concept of "protecting intellectual property is protecting innovation", committed to serving the overall situation, exploring innovation, and effectively fulfilling its responsibilities in intellectual property judicial protection. It actively provides solid and powerful judicial protection for the economic and social development of Pudong New Area, and has been awarded the titles of National Advanced Collective in Combating Infringement and Counterfeiting and National Advanced Collective in Courts.
The court fully utilizes the value guidance role of judicial judgments, and has handled multiple cases that have been selected in the Supreme People's Court Gazette, the Top 10 Intellectual Property Cases of Chinese Courts, 50 Typical Intellectual Property Cases of Chinese Courts, and Typical Cases of Anti Monopoly and Anti Unfair Competition by People's Courts. The prohibitions on behaviors such as broadcasting the Winter Olympics and the World Cup without authorization have been included in the 2022 Work Report of the Supreme People's Court.
The court has solidly promoted the innovation of the trial mechanism, pioneered the "three in one" trial mechanism for criminal, civil, and administrative intellectual property, fully leveraged the role of the Supreme People's Court as a research and contact point for intellectual property protection in free trade zones, continuously strengthened the intensive and professional trial of intellectual property cases related to free trade zones, organized multiple judicial protection seminars, and actively provided "replicable and promotable" reform and development experience.
In addition, the court also made full efforts to serve and guarantee the construction of Pudong Leading Area, actively support and guarantee the work of the Shanghai center for Arbitration and Mediation of the World Intellectual Property Organization, improve the mechanism for docking litigation and mediation of foreign-related intellectual property cases, continue to promote the governance of litigation sources, and make positive contributions to strengthening intellectual property protection and creating a first-class business environment.
