Experience the Vitality of China's Digital Economy
Recently, at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, envoys and diplomats from more than 10 Asian countries, including Thailand, East Timor, Nepal, and Singapore, visited Zhejiang Province and visited digital economy enterprises in Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Huzhou, Jiaxing, and other places to experience the beautiful life brought by technological innovation and explore the high-quality development of the digital economy in Zhejiang.
Shaoxing, known as the "land of cultural relics and the land of fish and rice," is the first stop of the Chinese Ambassador's trip to Zhejiang. Entering the Shaoxing Ancient City Digital Museum, the first thing that catches your eye is a painting of a thousand year old ancient city style. The museum utilizes digital twin technology to build an ancient city information management platform, providing a new digital path for the protection and inheritance of historical and cultural cities. Through holographic scanning, the layout, style, form, and color of individual buildings, historical blocks, etc. are vividly presented. By leveraging digital empowerment and intelligent supervision, the management of cultural relics in ancient cities has become more personalized.
"This is my second time coming to Shaoxing. In November 2020, I participated in the 3rd International Friendship City Conference in Shaoxing, China. This beautiful Jiangnan small city left a deep impression on me. This visit gave me a new understanding of this millennium old city." Timor Leste's Ambassador to China Santos told reporters that the Shaoxing Ancient City Digital Museum uses advanced technology to protect historical and cultural heritage, and hopes that Timor Leste can also learn from such technology. ".
The digital economy is a business card for the development of Zhejiang and a key focus of the visit of the Chinese envoys and diplomats. During the visit, a series of high-tech products overwhelmed the envoys: an intelligent deep sleep experience cabin that can detect multiple data such as height, weight, and heart rate, a visual quality inspection robot that can automatically detect product appearance defects, and a pure electric drone with a maximum takeoff weight of up to 30 kilograms... Nepalese Ambassador to China, Shresta, told the envoys and diplomats that they also visited Zhejiang e-commerce enterprises and exchanged experiences in the development of the digital economy industry with enterprise representatives.
At the digital economy industry docking meeting, the Chinese envoys and diplomats had face-to-face exchanges with relevant departments of the Zhejiang Provincial Government and representatives of nearly 50 enterprises in the digital economy field, to gain a deeper understanding of Zhejiang's policy measures to optimize the business environment, promote the development of the digital industry, and further expand openness, and to explore practical cooperation in the development of the digital economy. Kuwait's Consul General in Shanghai, Mishal Shamali, stated that he will share the rich information obtained at the docking meeting with domestic enterprises, and strive to promote the docking and negotiation between scientific and Chinese enterprises, adding new impetus to deepening cooperation between the two countries.
"Digital technology cooperation not only promotes economic development, but also improves people's lives. We hope that everyone can join hands to achieve common prosperity and development, and create a better future." Schlester said, looking forward to further strengthening exchanges with China, expanding cooperation areas, and achieving more cooperation results.
