Employment assistance to Xinjiang has yielded fruitful results

In Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, more and more ordinary people have achieved employment at their doorstep. In Cele County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Jinxin Zhiyuan Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. has invested in a sunflower seed industrial park covering over 2000 acres. Local farmer Abdujieli Abdurehman and his wife have been hired to manage and maintain the park, with a combined monthly income of over 7000 yuan. During busy farming times, the industrial park will also recruit over 100 local farmers to come and work.

Employment is the greatest livelihood. In recent years, in order to promote local employment for people of all ethnic groups, vocational skills training has been widely carried out in provinces and cities in Xinjiang. By introducing more than 15000 enterprises to settle in Xinjiang, more than 2 million local people have been employed.

Recently, a short video operation and live streaming e-commerce training course was held in Keping County, Aksu Prefecture. 67 local students received the training to gain a deeper understanding of the combination of production enterprises and live streaming e-commerce.

Through live training and other means, Zhejiang's aid to Xinjiang is striving to transform "blood transfusion" into "hematopoiesis". As of the end of June, the total number of online merchants in Aksu City reached 9053, with e-commerce driving employment for 30000 people. The e-commerce transaction volume in Aksu City exceeded 4.1 billion yuan.

Shandong's aid to Xinjiang has made efforts to strengthen vocational skills training, selecting 57 "dual teacher" vocational education teachers to support 9 vocational and technical schools in Kashgar. Since the 8th National Conference on Supporting Xinjiang, a total of 169 vocational skills training sessions have been held, training more than 90000 people from the recipient areas. At the Luka University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base and Human Resources Service Industrial Park, 27 enterprises have settled in, 19 entrepreneurial teams have been formed, and more than 2500 people have been employed and started businesses.

Tianjin's aid to Xinjiang relies on Hotan Vocational and Technical College to jointly build 7 professional groups, including medical colleges and light industry, with 7 universities, and has trained more than 3000 skilled talents in various fields. Tianjin Beichen Vocational College and Hetian Regional Education College have launched a 12 year joint education program, currently cultivating 1512 high-quality talents in fields such as education, automotive maintenance, and early childhood care for the Hetian region, with an employment rate of 100%.

"In the past three years, the number of full-time students in our school has increased tenfold, with majors focused on industrial transformation, and the employment rate has reached 92%. We have provided short-term employment training for 36400 people, and the employment rate has exceeded 96%." Bi Xinying, Vice Principal of Yingjisha County Technical School, said that skill training has improved the quantity and quality of employment for various ethnic groups in Xinjiang.

On September 14th, at Kashgar Lujiangqing Agricultural Technology Development Co., Ltd. located in Tazihong Township, Shule County, Kashgar Prefecture, she was guiding more than 10 workers to cultivate edible mushroom strains.

"We have 102 workers, 98 of whom are ethnic minority villagers recruited locally. Now everyone's skills are very good," said Han Wenliang, the company's general manager, praising his employees.

In recent years, by formulating measures to attract local employment through aid projects in Xinjiang, Shandong has encouraged local factories, family farms, agricultural cooperatives and other business entities to absorb rural labor for local employment, and encouraged Xinjiang migrant workers to return to their hometowns for entrepreneurship and employment. Since the 8th National Conference on Supporting Xinjiang, Shandong Province has supported the formation of a four level linkage industry promotion service system in Kashgar, which includes county enterprise headquarters, township small and micro industrial parks, village satellite factories, and family poverty alleviation workshops. A total of 26 enterprises have been introduced to establish county headquarters and settle in township small and micro industrial parks, supporting more than 170 enterprises to operate 425 rural factories and more than a thousand family workshops, and driving 26000 people to work nearby.

In the Yutian County Industrial Park in the Hotan area, over 900 local farmers have been trained and become skilled workers. Under their processing, pieces of fabric have become fashionable sportswear. "This is a phase of our project, which started production at the beginning of last year. Skilled workers can earn over 6200 yuan per month," said Sun Rui, the person in charge of Hongxing Erke's Yutian County production base. "The entire project is divided into three phases, and after completion, there will be 120 production lines, which can create more than 4000 job opportunities."

"There are more job opportunities, so it would be great to be able to work at home." Maituoheti Maihemaiti originally worked as a management worker in another city. After Xinjiang Guorun Co., Ltd., which is attracting investment from Tianjin, established a factory in Cele County, Hotan Prefecture, he also returned to his hometown. The management personnel in the factory are all locals, with a monthly income of more than 17000 yuan and less than 7000 to 8000 yuan.

In addition, various measures have been taken to assist Xinjiang's surplus labor force in transferring employment. Hubei Province is exploring the model of "two local governments docking to export and input labor into Xinjiang", improving the coordination mechanism among multiple departments, and helping more than 4100 people to find employment in 65 ethnic unity demonstration enterprises. Anhui has helped to transfer more than 5000 people to Anhui for employment, of which 295 ethnic minorities from Xinjiang are still settling down in Anhui.
