Disappointed passengers suddenly release snakes, four snake charmers from India perform on trains
On September 9th local time, four snake charmers performed snake dancing on a train in Uttar Pradesh, India, but few passengers were willing to pay to support the performance. The snake charmer had a heated argument with the unwilling payer, and even allowed the snake into the carriage, causing panic among passengers.
Four snake charmers boarded a train bound for Gwalyol at Banda Station in Uttar Pradesh, India on the evening of September 9th, and then began a snake dance performance in an open seat carriage. Witness passenger Dilaj Kumar vividly remembers the performance: "They lifted the lid of the basket and a snake appeared, dancing to the music of the gourd flute."
Kumar said that after the performance, the snake charmer started asking passengers for money, but there were not many willing to pay: "Some people paid, while others refused." Subsequently, the snake charmer became very angry at the passengers' behavior of "not paying for nothing," and had a dispute with the refusal to pay. In the process of pushing, the snake was suddenly released. According to Kumar's recollection, the next 30 minutes were chaotic inside the carriage, with passengers scrambling to climb onto the upper bunk and some locking themselves in the restroom, "waiting for the nightmare to end.".
The Indian police subsequently announced an investigation into the matter. Akhilesh Singh, the railway police chief at Mahoba Station, said that the railway operation control center reported to the police that someone had released snakes on the train. Singh said, "We had conversations with the passengers of the train at Mahoba train station and they confirmed the incident. Fortunately, these snakes did not bite any passengers, but they did cause serious psychological pain."
According to reports from the Indian railway police, the snake charmer finally regained control of the released snake and jumped off the train shortly before it arrived at the Mahoba station to escape. The security personnel conducted a comprehensive search of several adjacent carriages and allowed the train to travel to its final destination, Guayol, after confirming its safety.
