Recently, the trailer for the opening ceremony of the Hangzhou Asian Games was publicly released. In just 16 seconds, it includes visual elements such as dance, lighting, special effects, and grand scenes. It is expected that, unlike previous large-scale event opening ceremonies, this opening ceremony will cancel the physical fireworks display, and instead use digital technology, such as 3D animation and AR technology, to showcase a dazzling "fireworks" scene.

According to the general impression of the public, the opening ceremony of large-scale sports events and cultural evening performances are inseparable from fireworks displays. If there are no physical fireworks, will the atmosphere of the opening ceremony of the Hangzhou Asian Games be discounted? During an interview with the media, Sha Xiaolan, the chief director and producer of the opening ceremony, stated that the creative team will use digital technology to present a 360 degree panoramic display of the electronic fireworks performance on both sides of the Qianjiang River and the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center venue group from various angles such as elevation, elevation, and side view. This will be a highlight moment of the opening ceremony.
"With the setting off of physical fireworks, a large amount of pollutants such as smoke and dust are generated in the air, which is not conducive to environmental protection. We have made a great decision to cancel the physical fireworks performance." Sha Xiaolan said that she wants to convey the concept of environmental protection to the world during the highly anticipated opening ceremony.
In addition, Sha Xiaolan shared that watching the electronic fireworks display at the opening ceremony through TV, mobile phones, and other ports would have an overall better viewing effect than the live event. At present, the fourth rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the Hangzhou Asian Games has been successfully completed. The creative team will make further adjustments to the video, clothing, props, and some equipment. They will also choose another rehearsal before the official performance.
