The development channel for skilled talents continues to be smooth——

"After the implementation of the 'new eight level worker' system, two members of our team were recognized as chief technicians, and five were recognized as special level technicians. According to data from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, as of now, more than 26000 household units and more than 6000 social training and evaluation organizations in China are implementing a vocational skill level system and conducting vocational skill level recognition. At present, a total of 954 national level high skilled talent training bases and 1196 national level skill master studios have been built nationwide. In 2022, 12.34 million people nationwide obtained vocational qualification certificates or vocational skill level certificates.

"We have less than 1000 graduates, but more than 110 companies have recruited us. On average, there are 4 positions waiting for each graduate. Graduates from majors such as welding, CNC machining, and electrical automation are in short supply," Feng Xiaoping, Dean of Xi'an Technician College, told reporters.

"It is precisely because of adhering to employment orientation, flexibly setting majors according to market demand, and strengthening school enterprise cooperation to cultivate the skilled talents most needed by enterprises, especially advanced manufacturing industries, that the employment rate of technical colleges has remained above 96% for many years." said Wang Xiaojun, Deputy Director of the Vocational Capacity Building Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

As of the end of 2022, there are a total of 2551 technical colleges and universities in China, with over 4.45 million students enrolled, and approximately one million graduates are sent to society every year. China has formed a modern vocational education system led by technician colleges, with senior technical schools as the backbone, and ordinary technical schools as the foundation.

At present, a skilled army with a large scale, reasonable structure, exquisite skills, and excellent quality that basically meets the needs of high-quality economic and social development in China is forming. At the 2022 World Skills Competition Special Tournament, China won 21 gold medals, once again ranking first in the world in terms of the number of gold medals and the total team score.

"We will accelerate the implementation of the 'Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of High skilled Talents in the New Era', further increase the training of high skilled talents, continuously improve the system of skill oriented use, highlight employment orientation, continuously improve the system of skill talent training, use, evaluation, and incentive, and motivate more workers, especially young people, to take the path of skill development."
