According to reports, Hungarian Minister of Agriculture Nagi Ishtvan has stated that Budapest will ban the import of 24 types of goods from Ukraine. In addition to grains, it also includes beef, pork, lamb, lamb, poultry, eggs, vegetables, honey, sunflower seeds, wine, etc.
The local Slovak television channel quoted the Ministry of Agriculture as explaining the official position. It points out that if the ban is not implemented, the Slovak market will be flooded with cheap Ukrainian grains, which may cause significant economic losses to local farmers.
According to reports, the European Commission decided on the 15th not to extend the export ban on four agricultural products from Ukraine, but demanded that Ukraine take export control measures. Kiev should submit an action plan to the European Commission and neighboring countries on September 18th. The European Commission and Ukraine are responsible for tracking the situation. As long as Kiev effectively implements its own regulatory measures, the EU has no intention of introducing any new restrictions.
