Citizens can make online and offline appointments for vaccination, and Pudong influenza vaccine will be available for use
In the past two days, influenza vaccines arrived in Pudong successively. After receiving the vaccines, each community health service center pushed appointment information on the center's WeChat official account, which was the first time to start this round of influenza vaccination. On the afternoon of the 20th, the reporter visited the Jinqiao Community Health Service Center.
At 2 pm, the planned immunization clinic at Jinqiao Community Health Service Center on Jialin Road in Pudong was visited by a continuous stream of citizens, many of whom were influenza vaccine recipients. They mainly came from citizens who made online and on-site appointments. The influenza vaccine at the center officially started at 8 pm that day.
Lu Qing, director of the prevention and protection department of Jinqiao Community Health Service Center, introduced that "influenza vaccine appointments can be made online through the WeChat official account 'Disease Control U Health', or offline on-site appointments, of which offline appointments mainly serve the elderly who will not make online appointments."

The reporter learned from the Jinqiao Community Health Service Center that the main types of influenza vaccines provided by the center are quadrivalent influenza vaccines, and corresponding vaccination plans are also provided for some different needs. "The supply of vaccines is sufficient, and the types are mainly based on the original three price and four price options. Based on the current appointment situation, there are relatively many people making appointments for four price options," said Lu Qing.
The reporter learned that the first batch of 63000 vaccines have been distributed to communities in Pudong CDC, and more than 20 communities have opened appointments for vaccination. The second batch of vaccines will be distributed gradually. In order to meet the vaccination needs of community residents, especially students, office workers and other groups, and improve vaccine coverage, Pudong New Area has increased the supply of community outpatient services during the peak vaccination period. From September 21 to October 31 this year, an additional half day outpatient service will be added every weekend on top of the existing half day vaccination outpatient service to meet the vaccination needs of students and office workers. Each vaccination clinic should make influenza vaccine appointments based on vaccine supply, personnel appointments, and outpatient scheduling, and provide on-site appointment services for elderly people who have difficulty making online appointments. Strictly implement "real name appointment" and "community appointment priority protection for residents in the jurisdiction" for vaccines. Each vaccination clinic should closely monitor the vaccine supply situation, prepare vaccine reserves in advance, and adjust the outpatient work plan in a timely manner; Reasonably allocate medical resources based on outpatient volume to ensure sufficient vaccination personnel.
Lu Qing introduced, "The Jinqiao Community Health Service Center operates half a day from Tuesday to Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoon. At the same time, according to the requirements of the Pudong New Area Health Commission, we have added a special vaccination session for influenza vaccines on Saturday afternoon on the original basis."

The "Technical Guidelines for Influenza Vaccination in China 2023-2024" suggest that it is best to complete immunization before the local influenza epidemic season. Generally, November to March of the following year is the high incidence season of influenza, and it takes an average of 2 to 4 weeks to produce antibodies after vaccination. Therefore, October to November is a suitable time every year. The staff of Jinqiao Community Health Service Center remind citizens to receive influenza vaccines at a 14 day interval from other vaccines; Adults need to bring their ID cards when getting vaccinated, and children need to bring their vaccination notebooks when getting vaccinated.
