Xi'an International Port Station covers a total area of 5600 acres and is a first-class station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It is the starting station and destination of China Europe freight trains, mainly handling cargo loading and unloading services such as whole vehicles, one-stop direct whole load and container services. At present, Xi'an International Port Station has 59 routes. The South Freight Yard includes four major cargo operation areas: container, special cargo, general cargo, and mixed loading. The North Freight Yard includes four major operation areas and business processing areas: cold chain, international cargo, whole vehicle and transfer, metal circulation processing, and heavy cargo.

Entering Xi'an International Port Station, large trucks carrying containers can be seen everywhere. There are over 500 football field sized stations neatly stacked with dopamine colored containers, with the words "China Europe Express", "China Railway", and "Xi'an Port" printed on the boxes. Each area within the station performs its own duties, and all work is stable and orderly, which cannot be separated from the protection of modern information technology. It only takes about 2 minutes to load a container, and about 140 minutes to load a whole train, making it meet the shipping conditions. This efficiency is leading in the country. Xi'an Branch, said, "The total operating area of the commodity vehicle is 225000 square meters, which can accommodate nearly 10000 cars. Based on our experience, one carriage can accommodate 9 commodity vehicles, and a train has 29 carriages. According to the loading capacity, 261 commodity vehicles can be loaded at once."

The annual freight volume can reach more than 66 million tons, equivalent to 3300 cars in front of us."

Since the establishment of the station in 2006, Xi'an International Port Station has developed from a fourth class station with only 7 lines, which can only handle train passing and no freight yard, to a first class station with 59 lines.
