The Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi left behind the famous line "I remember Jiangnan, and the most memorable is Hangzhou.". The mascots of the Hangzhou Asian Games are known as the "Jiangnan Memories" group, and they have sent a warm invitation to "gather in Hangzhou" to countries in Asia and the world. This is not only a beautiful scenery with green waters and mountains, but also a modern city full of vitality and standing at the forefront.
Hangzhou is born and thrives due to water.

The Qiantang River is the largest river in Zhejiang Province. When it comes to the Qiantang River, we will think of the Qiantang River Tide, which is known as the "Number One Tide in the World" due to its magnificent natural wonders. Flying over the Qiantang River, you can see the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center venue cluster on the south bank of the river. This is the core area of the Hangzhou Asian Games, where about a quarter of the more than 480 gold medals will be won in this venue group.
From the sky, what looks like a lotus blooming on the banks of the Qiantang River is the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, which is the main stadium of the Hangzhou Asian Games and is affectionately known as the "Big Lotus". On September 23rd, the opening ceremony of the Hangzhou Asian Games will be held here. At the same time, this is also the venue for athletics events, where 48 gold medals will be won.
The "Big Lotus" can accommodate approximately 80000 people to watch the event simultaneously. Its roof is composed of 28 large petals and 27 small petals, inspired by the flowing water of the Qiantang River and the flowing Hangzhou silk. The sturdy steel skeleton creates a dynamic curve. In the design and construction process, adhering to the "green" concept, the "Big Lotus" greatly saves steel consumption and has won the highest honor of engineering quality in the Chinese construction industry - the Luban Award.
Accompanied by the "Big Lotus", it is a much smaller but highly intelligent "Little Lotus" venue. It is the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Tennis Center and the competition and training venue for the Hangzhou Asian Games tennis event.

The lower part of the "Little Lotus" has 24 petals, and the top has 8 petals. It is precisely at the top that "Little Lotus" pioneered the "rotating opening and closing roof function", which means that these top petals can rotate and open according to weather conditions.
This venue, seen from the air, is like a butterfly spreading its wings, interpreting the cultural theme of "transforming into a butterfly". In fact, it includes two venues. On the side near the Qiantang River is the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Swimming Pool, which is the second largest swimming and diving venue in the country after the "Water Cube". On the other side is the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium.
They not only have high appearance, but also high gold content. The swimming, diving, and synchronized swimming events of the Asian Games will be held in the swimming pool, generating a total of 53 gold medals. Part of the basketball events and finals of the Asian Games will be held in the gymnasium, resulting in 2 gold medals.
The Hangzhou Asian Games has set a precedent for event venues to be open to the public before the competition, with the goal of building and sharing for all.

The main media center of the Asian Games, located at the Hangzhou International Expo Center, will officially operate on September 18th. It is the "headquarters" of media reporters and the "hub" of news and information. The story of the Asian Games is told from here, and it is an important window for the world to understand the Hangzhou Asian Games. As of early September, about 12000 media reporters, broadcasters, and others have registered for the Hangzhou Asian Games.
This building may not be unfamiliar to everyone. In 2016, China hosted the G20 Hangzhou Summit, and the Hangzhou International Expo Center was the main venue at that time. The G20 Hangzhou Summit has left a profound Chinese mark on the development process of the G20. The upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games will also set a new record. This is not only a venue for Asian athletes to compete for gold and silver, but also a grand stage for cultural exchange and mutual learning in Asia.
From Beijing to Guangzhou and then to Hangzhou, spanning 33 years, China will host the Asian Games for the third time. The City of Asian Games looks forward to playing the Asian Games music of peace and friendship with friends from all over the world.
