This summer, many Asian Games venues in Zhejiang have been extremely popular. Table tennis, swimming, basketball... everyone's enthusiasm for sports is high.

The original intention of this year's Hangzhou Asian Games was to promote the development and sharing of the national Games. The Hangzhou Asian Games was previously postponed, but the venues were not idle. On the contrary, starting from July 1, 2022, all competition and training venues will gradually open to the public, and many people will enjoy the "Asian Games dividend" in advance.

There are more and more sports venues, facilities are becoming more perfect, and costs are also affordable... This is a high-frequency term heard by reporters during recent interviews.

The Hangzhou Asian Games are about to open, and we approach three sports enthusiasts to listen to their stories and the Asian Games venues.

On the runway, encountering the beauty of the city

The summer heat is gradually fading. Recently, in the Canal Sports Park in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, a thin and capable figure was exercising with a group of runners.

Leading the way is Pan Chongfu, who is 51 years old and has some fame for running circles in Hangzhou. Long term outdoor exercise gave him bronze colored skin. The fate between Pan Chongfu and the Asian Games venues is not shallow. His running journey can be said to have started at the Huanglong Sports Center.

The results of the 2016 physical examination showed that multiple indicators exceeded the standard, which sounded the alarm for me. I started running at the Huanglong Sports Center and persisted for a year, losing weight and improving my mental state. Since then, Pan Chongfu has fallen in love with running and his athletic talent has gradually emerged. The time he ran for 10000 meters has decreased to less than 36 minutes, and he ran for 3 hours in his first marathon race.

With his enthusiasm for public welfare and active service to runners, Pan Chongfu quickly became the running "star" of Huanglong Sports Center, and more and more runners gathered around him. Over the past five years, Pan Chongfu has led over 3000 people to participate in sports such as running, and his "runway" has also extended to sports venues of all sizes in Hangzhou.

In December 2019, the Huanglong Sports Center welcomed the renovation and upgrading of the Asian Games venue, and Pan Chongfu had to wave goodbye to it.

When we met again, facilities such as the new lawn, aerial runway, and oversized LED high-definition screen surprised Pan Chongfu greatly.

Not only the Huanglong Sports Center has undergone butterfly transformation.

Pan Chongfu and his friends saw that the Canal Sports Park has transformed from a urban village renovation project to a popular running check-in point. "The scenery here is very beautiful, and you won't feel bored after running for a long time," said Pan Chongfu. The artificial lake, runway, themed campsite, etc. are all quite attractive.

Whenever an Asian Games venue is completed and opened to the public, Pan Chongfu couldn't help but run to check in and share his feelings with other runners through social media.

"Every sports stadium can inspire a group of sports enthusiasts, and these venues together build a sports city of Hangzhou," said Pan Chongfu, who runs with his fellow runners every day, reaping health and happiness. In his eyes, every track is the most beautiful track.

On the green field, perform the excitement under your feet

"Thanks to the Asian Games, we have an internationally standard venue," said Chen Feng. He praised the Keqiao Jianhu Football Stadium located in Shaoxing, which is one of the football training venues during the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Chen Feng is a physical education teacher from Tashan Primary School in Shaoxing City. One of his hobbies in his spare time is playing football. Due to shared love, he and 20 other football enthusiasts formed the Shaoxing Rongfu Lawyers Football Team, with Chen Feng as the team leader.

As an amateur team, they do not have a fixed training ground on a regular basis. "It costs several hundred yuan to rent a court for a game of football, which accumulates to be a considerable expense in a year." The team has also been troubled by the cost.

However, with the help of the Asian Games, in the second half of last year, the Asian Games venues, including Jianhu Football Stadium, were opened to the public, giving Chen Feng and his teammates a new destination.

The first time I stepped into Jianhu Football Stadium, the team members cheered and said, "The lights are very bright." "The lawn is very flat, and even if it rains suddenly, it won't become muddy. It's very good." "This football field has not only been renovated and upgraded, but also opened for free."

Running on this green field, some teammates even said, "I went once and still want to go!"

Jianhu Football Stadium is very popular. After several successful queuing appointments, they even invited players from neighboring counties to play and experience the high standard of the green field together.

It is understood that since the beginning of this year, on the basis of protecting the healthy growth of the football field lawn, Jianhu Football Stadium has accepted 41 matches and about 1600 fans to participate in free sports.

There are five major Asian Games venues in Shaoxing, of which three are located in Keqiao District. In addition, there are also a large number of sports venues that are seamlessly integrated into the daily lives of the people, and the atmosphere of national fitness in Shaoxing is becoming increasingly strong.

Chen Feng has already planned to go and experience the remaining Asian Games venues in Shaoxing after the competition. "For example, my daughter has already gone to experience the Yangshan Climbing Center, and when she comes back, her evaluation is very good."

During the competition, it is the Asian Games, and after the competition, it is the city. By the end of the Asian Games, these venues will be returned to the public and open to the public as usual. "We have many more sports venues, which is truly beneficial to the people," Chen Feng said.

At the doorstep, come and compete under the basket

Passing, dribbling, shooting, all in one go. On the evening of September 15th, as night fell, Wang Wei and his teammates were still engaged in a fierce battle on a basketball court in Deqing. Although it is not a formal match, both sides still play seriously.

More than two years ago, Wang Wei and several like-minded friends formed a basketball team and named it "Youmengren". They make plans to play basketball every week, sometimes once or twice, and sometimes two or three times.

The team members come from various industries, including engineers, employees of state-owned enterprises, company leaders, as well as delivery guys, civil servants, college students, and so on. Age also varies, spanning across the 80s, 90s, and 00s.

The place where amateur teams play basketball is quite casual, but after visiting the basketball court in Deqing Geographic Information Town a few times, Wang Wei has always remembered it.

Speaking of that basketball court, Wang Wei described it as "tall and upscale": "The court has standardized facilities. People who watch games also have seats, and they can take their family and friends to watch games together. Moreover, the surrounding scenery of the venue is very good, making both watching and playing games enjoyable."

The white dome building complements the sparkling Fengqi Lake, making it the first fixed three player basketball competition venue in China. The Deqing Geographic Information Town Basketball Stadium will host the Hangzhou Asian Games three player basketball tournament.

Previously, in the 2023 FIBA Triple Basketball Huzhou Deqing Challenge, "Charm Hangzhou" faced off at the peak of the Deqing competition. This was the first time Wang Wei had witnessed the style of foreign players up close, and he enjoyed watching it with great interest.

"The lighting on the basketball court is completely different from the atmosphere on the square." In Wang Wei's view, this newly built basketball court is not only a sports field, but also a place that can broaden everyone's horizons. "With this court, we will also have the opportunity to watch high-level games at our doorstep in the future."

It is understood that the basketball court in Deqing Geographic Information Town will provide venue support for the training of the three player national basketball team after the game, and attract more national or international level competitions to land. In the future, urban exhibition halls, youth activity centers, sports complexes, etc. will be built on the first floor of the sports center, and the sports atmosphere in Deqing will become increasingly strong.

In a few days, the three player basketball event of the Hangzhou Asian Games will compete in Deqing. "I have already bought the tickets and waited for the game to start." Wang Wei was full of anticipation.
