Becoming a good place for citizens to check in, "Riverside Vegetable Garden" transforms into a "leisure trail"
The "vegetable garden" by the river has become a "leisure trail", which makes Aunt Wang, who has recently moved into the Dongyue City community in Zhoupu Town, very happy. "This trail is well designed. After dinner, I can take a walk with my spouse to digest my food."
Dongyue City Community is a new community. However, the residents who moved in found that a piece of land near the intersection of Xiantang Port and Liuzao Port, located in the northwest corner of the community, had been divided into small vegetable fields filled with vegetables. They then reported to the Party branch of Dongyue City residential area.
After learning about it, the party branch in the residential area conducted on-site visits in conjunction with the property service center in the community to understand the specific situation. Subsequently, they quickly took action. On the one hand, they organized party member representatives and enthusiastic residents to discuss multiple times, collect the needs and suggestions of the town residents, and on the other hand, they reported to the higher-level department and relevant functional units to determine the rectification plan and solve the problem as soon as possible.
Subsequently, the Urban Refinement Management Department of Zhoupu Town, in conjunction with the New Area River Management Affairs Center, Town Planning and Construction Office, Town Housing Office and other units and departments, conducted on-site inspections and multiple discussions and consultations, and decided to take the lead in implementing the project with the District River Management Affairs Center. Multiple departments jointly carried out riverbank improvement actions.
The New Area River Management Affairs Center and the Zhoupu Town Urban Fine Management Work Department, with the aim of serving the people and the standard of creating high-quality and aesthetically pleasing walkways, have led various departments to jointly negotiate and continuously improve the design scheme. The riverbank landscape design emphasizes the combination of art and ecological value, with winding and secluded garden roads running through the entire green space. Along the line, there are small scenic spots with different styles such as flower mirrors, color blocks, green bamboo, and forest belts, and considering the safety factors around the river, guardrails, isolated green hedges, and other arrangements have been added.
At present, the plot has been completely renovated. The tall trees, bright flowers and shrubs, winding garden roads, and beautiful protective railings have transformed the "riverside vegetable garden" into a "leisure trail". The new "beauty" of the green scenery on the banks has greatly improved the comfort and happiness of residents in the community, receiving unanimous praise from surrounding residents.
Qiu Wei, Deputy Mayor of Zhoupu Town, stated that supervision and management will be strengthened in the future, fully leveraging the role of river chiefs in river patrols and forest chiefs in forest protection, to achieve long-term and normal maintenance. At the same time, he called on more community residents to carry forward the spirit of ownership, participate in community autonomy and governance, and jointly build a harmonious and beautiful home.
