Another batch of 109 suspect involved in China's telecom network fraud in northern Myanmar were collectively handed over to us
In order to resolutely curb the high incidence of telecommunications network fraud crimes involving China in northern Myanmar, the Ministry of Public Security deployed Yunnan public security organs to strengthen border police cooperation, and continued to carry out multiple rounds of crackdowns. 1482 fraud related suspect were handed over to us. On September 16, the crackdown again brought good news. The public security organs in Pu'er, Yunnan continued to carry out border police cooperation, and another 109 suspect of telecommunications network fraud and a number of crime tools were handed over to us, including 11 fugitives online, forming a continuous strike trend.
In recent years, with the increasing crackdown by China's public security organs and the continuous deepening of international law enforcement cooperation, telecommunications network fraud criminal groups that previously lurked in Southeast Asian countries have gradually shifted to the northern region of Myanmar, mainly occupying the Myanmar side adjacent to Yunnan, such as Xishuangbanna, Pu'er, Lincang, and Dehong. The Ministry of Public Security attaches great importance to this and organizes public security organs in Yunnan and other regions to strengthen analysis and judgment, innovate law enforcement mechanisms, strengthen police cooperation, and comprehensively take various measures to promote crackdown work. Since the launch of the operation, with the unremitting efforts of the public security organs in Xishuangbanna, Pu'er and other places, 1482 fraud related suspect in northern Myanmar have been handed over to us, including 58 online fugitives, effectively squeezing the living space of overseas fraud related crimes. On this basis, the Pu'er public security organs further strengthened their police cooperation with relevant local law enforcement agencies in Myanmar, continuously deepening their actions and consolidating and expanding their achievements.
At present, the Ministry of Public Security has deployed the public security organs in Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Henan, Guangdong, Chongqing and other places to bring back the suspect handed over to us from Yunnan one after another, to fully carry out case investigation, thoroughly investigate the criminal facts, deeply dig the upstream and downstream criminal chains, adhere to cracking down on gangs, destroying the network, and cutting off channels, while severely cracking down on illegal crimes such as fraud and illegal immigration in accordance with the law, deeply dig into related crimes such as domestic black ash production, and severely crack down on domestic co criminals in accordance with the law, so as to continue to form a high-pressure deterrent trend.
The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Public Security stated that in response to the severe and complex situation of telecommunications network fraud crimes in northern Myanmar and China, the early crackdown has achieved significant results. The Ministry of Public Security and the Yunnan Provincial Department of Public Security have deployed relevant local public security organs to rely on border law enforcement cooperation, continuously increase their work intensity, deepen the crackdown, eliminate fraud dens, arrest personnel involved, and resolutely safeguard the property safety and legitimate rights and interests of the people.
